FULL TITLE: Statue of defiant little girl is placed in front of Wall Street's Charging Bull to challenge 'male environment' ahead of International Women's Day
A statue of a defiant little girl was placed in front of Wall Street's Charging Bull to challenge the 'traditionally male environment' of the industry, ahead of International Women's Day.
A brave bronzed girl was installed with her hands on her hips, head held high as she faced off against the hulking statue of a bull on Tuesday morning.
It was placed by $2.5trillion asset manager State Street Global as part of a campaign the company is launching to increase gender diversity in Wall Street's 'traditionally male environment'.
The Fearless Girl is a symbol of the firm's hope for women to become recognized leaders in the field, symbolic of International Women's Day, where women are encouraged to be bold, walk out of work and not spend money on Wednesday.

I’m going to the march, there are probably lots of chicks to pick up.
Teaching girls to be men and teaching boys to be women. That’s where we are now.
How very meaningful.
I’m sure it caused all the Wall Street desk jockeys to stop in their tracks and think about their sins instead of going to the deli to get lunch.
Liberals.
Style over substance.
Images over results.
Protests over progress.....................
In reality, a little girl standing in front of a charging bull would be considered stupid, not fearless, and would probably be severely hurt or killed. But in Liberal Fantasyland, Grrl Power overcomes everything.
So I guess the little girl wants to stop a bull market. Just great.
move the silly new display to the back of the bull
where it belongs
Bring a forklift.
Will get flamed but who cares.
Find the bull to be a graven image. Calf/bull, not a lot of difference.
LOL!
Flamed? I’d say spot on!
Someone put a chamber pot between her legs ...
Ridiculous. Does the bull symbolize the patriarchy or capitalism?
Just make sure you don’t give them your real name or home address!
Think it’s a symbol of the market.
Thank goodness that bull is just a statue. 8>P
He knows firsthand.
