Tourism in the greater Paris region Île-de-France has been hit hard by terror fears, the latest figures show. But it’s turning around.
“In total, in 2016, hotel owners in Île-de-France welcomed 1.5 million fewer French and international tourists compared to 2015,” the Regional Tourism Committee reported on Tuesday.
While the average number of tourists visiting the region has only decreased by 0.8 percent, the drop was particularly sharp among some countries more than others.
There were 21.5 percent fewer Chinese tourists setting down their suitcases in the Paris region, and 41.2 percent fewer tourists from Japan checking in to hotels in the region. …

My brother cut short his Paris vacation last summer. He left a day before the south of France truck attack so that wasn’t it. He said Paris was like an armed camp with soldiers all over the place. Too bad because he loved it.

No way people are going there in similar numbers before the BS began. I know a French woman here, entrepreneur, and she is adamant about the Muzzie situation there. Otherwise a gentle and kind woman. She saw the light and GTHO while she could.

Chinese, Japanese, Koreans are very practical.
Their own societies are very peaceful and stable, except for the very occasional pick-pocket. They have an idealized, almost Disney-land view of European culture - that’s what they want. Once that bubble is popped, they’ll never come back.
They give ZERO virtue points and indeed have ZERO respect for europeans self-loathing, violent, and dirty import of the dregs of the 3rd world.
