Who Goes to College to Get More Knowledge?

My oldest son who has been homeschooled by my wife and received over 1300 on PSATs is now being inundated by colleges. This one came yesterday. Never heard of the school, but how many here would be intrigued by this postcard?

how many here would be intrigued by this postcardWell, if I were a CISnormal male who wanted to pick up four CISnormal females, one of each hair color, this might be hinting at an intriguing concept.
To answer your other question, practically no one goes to college to gain more knowledge. Most want a piece of paper that they think will get them more income. It has given me the opportunity for the last three decades to mentally seduce them into wanting to understand Bach and/or Aristotle, but it has usually been a losing proposition.

UMW is about 12 miles from where I live. It is not a bad college but, being a public university, has PC moments.
My daughter and her fiance are currently going to UMW. My son is moving to Virginia Tech because UMW doesn’t have an Engineering department.

And get a piece of paper that would assist me in getting a job working some vaguely related discipline ....
