“I love those 225 slant six engines.”
I once owned a 1961 Lancer with a 225/4 BBL. Pretty quick in its day.
The funny thing is I had a 1980 Mustang, straight six engine, 250ci, and fast as a rocket. I had to rebuild the carburetor myself, on a dining room table in Monterrey, and it worked like a charm.
My wife loved that car.
I loved the Vic-20, then the 64, then the Amiga.
Until the company went face down in America, I was a big Commodore fan.
I have a 1940 Hupp Mobile for sale. It is one of 319 made. My dad bought it over 20 years ago from Uruguay to restore and it has been stored ever since, never touched.
They are a cord style body, made in Jackson, Michigan.
Any one interested?
Both were made in 1966 but the street race was in 1971.
I had an ‘89 Honda Civic that would turn 0-60 in 7.8 seconds - and get 45-50 mpg on the highway. Probably handled better too.
Ill put it this way - my 2.0 liter turbocharged Ford Escape SUV is faster to 100 MPH than the 1977 Corvette.

So was the 1976 VW Rabbit.
Wow! 0 to 60 in 90 in 9.76 seconds. That might even beat a Yugo (which, amazingly, looks about the same). Be careful, though, you can buy a K&M racing oil filter for the Yugo.
Let's not discount the role of unions in cratering quality while driving up prices. That and the suits at the car companies deciding that if you made all cars from the same set of parts and body panels, you could save a fortune, resulting in generic interchangeable turds like the Cadillac Cimarron. Small wonder that Americans turned to higher quality, lower cost Japanese cars.
“Ford Fairlane 450 GTA”
Never heard of such?
How odd! You can find pictures of them on the internet.
Does this work better?
Ford Fairlane 450 500 GTA
My 2003 Infiniti has 260 hp and 260 lbs of torque

I have a 2002 with 25,600 miles for sale in Florida.
Silver sport model. I was the only car my mother really liked in 2002.
The G35 came out in 2003. I have a 2003.5 which came with a 6 spd manual.
Fast but not that much fun to drive. I’m trying to pawn it off on my progeny. I like driving his F-150 (5 spd) better.
You’re right. I must be getting old (heck, I AM getting old) and the memory doesn’t work as well. Fastest car I ever owned, though. Thanks for the correction!
