And I can add I picked up an iPhone 5s for $160 in September from Consumer Cellular to replace an android phone. Oh, it’s 1500 minutes.

Great deal, IMHO.

I’ve used Tracfone for a dozen years. Love it. You can bring your own phone. Costs a dollar for a SIM card.

For original poster Cricket is an ATT reseller.

Nope. Cricket is a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T (since 2014). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cricket_Wireless

<“I have T-mobile, two phones, unlimited everything $83.00 month, all said done.”

Serious? That sounds too good to be true.

I’ve been paying $140 with AT&T for 2 phone lines with a total of 18 GB monthly.>

I’m getting 4 lines unlimited everything for $140 from T mobile.

Republic Wireless. Great company. Multi plans ... I pay only about 20 per month. At home and work, there is wifi which is minimal cost. Their carrier for non-WiFi is Sprint.

patriot mobile

I was just thinking today of dropping AT&T, I have unlimited data, minutes, and texting for $100 a month, getting tired of paying because I don't use much phone or text. Heard radio commercial today for Patriot Mobile, link is above, and went to their web site to check it out.

At the low end unlimited talk and text, no data $25 per month, $40 a month for unlimited talk, text,& data up to 500mb, several packages in between, and high end $100 will get you talk, text and 10 GB data. No contract, and you can use your phone and keep your same phone number, they have variety of phones offers too, some free. They advertise that part of your bill gets contributed to conservative causes like NRA, Heritage Foundation, and others.

I've been using Virgin Mobile for the past two years. $35 a month for practically unlimited everything. And I just bought an LG X Power for $60. Nice phone with a HUGE battery life. I recommend buying a case with it.

I'm an old school retired. Use a flip phone, that can really do a lot if you like, with a basic plan 1000 minutes per month nationwide with texting 26.00 per month.

It’s unlimited voice as long as in the network area. Otherwise it is 50 roaming minutes or something. Not an issue where I live and I rarely use my phone outside of textin which is unlimited. In 8 years I never ran out of minutes or ran out of data. It slows down if you exceed 5 or 10 gb.

I’ve used Net10 Wireless for years - and they still haven’t found me - so the privacy is good.

Mint is a great deal. Cheapest I have found for a single line, unlocked phone.I am very happy with it. They buy from T-Mobile and have to take chance buying up front for 3,6 or 12 months.$13for 2G’ s per month 5G’ s for $20. More from CNET below.

“This Cheapskate exclusive works out to just over $13 per month for a 2GB plan. Need 5GB? Just under $20 per month.”

Check Tracfone.com. They sell phones phones at good prices or you can buy an unlocked very smart phone like the Moto G4 (Amazon), buy a 1$ sim card and set it up- with Tracfone....My wife and I have been using them happily for several years. Prepaid, no contracts, inexpensive. what could be bad?

Where do you get theses Sims? When they first put up the Verizon tower, I sort of had ants in my pants to get finally get a cell phone. I bought a pretty nice one with a huge number of features. I then learned I could only use it with a $45 per month plan.

Since I do very little phone calling, I just bought that once. Actually I found a place in China who sold me the month for only $42. Still that is ridiculous for someone who maybe talks all of half an hour a month. Actually it would work a lot longer than that as I would just use it in my car for emergencies.

Could I use one of these Sims to make that nice phone work with Tracfone? You know the plan where you just buy 30 minutes and it lasts a couple of months for me.
