I have used Tracfone for close to two decades.

They use AT&T or Verizon for a fraction of the cost.

If you are not familar with setting up a phone provider, buy a Tracfone that has the Sim card set up and ready to go.

Amazon has a lot of Tracfones smart and simple ones ready to go. If you have a cell phone, you can transfer your number.

Walmart carries Tracfone’s Straight Talk Phones at good prices, and I think a month costs $45. You can buy the phones at Walmart and have them set you up with the Straight Talk system.

I use republic wireless, only pay for cellular data that I
use. Sign up for the plan you want (mine is $17.50mo .5 g)I get about $5.00 refund (costs me 12.50) every month because I don’t use much cellular data. Two UNC Chapel Hill grads started the company 8-9 years ago. They knew companies like Verizon were screwing customers big time and that more and more cellular data was going unused. I have WiFi at home and at work and at lots of other places. Check out Republic Wireless.

I bought an LG smart phone for $19.99 on Amazon prepaid in the box for Verizon. Unlimited talk text and 1G a month for $45. Most of the time on Wi-fi at home or work.

Love it, cheap, never have a problem. Had it for over a year. Wife has same phone.

I will Never go to a plan again. NEVER!

“I have T-mobile, two phones, unlimited everything $83.00 month, all said done.”

Serious? That sounds too good to be true.

I’ve been paying $140 with AT&T for 2 phone lines with a total of 18 GB monthly.

My ex wife has an iPhone 6 and my crapola tracfone gets better reception out in the rural areas than hers. Drives her nuts.

I have a go-phone, 25 cents a minute, 20 cents for a text message, and my service is with AT&T. I only turn it on when I want to use it, basically it’s for emergencies.

It’s prepaid, and it takes about a year to use up $100.00. If you take more than a year to use the $ 100.00, you lose it, sometimes I actually have to work at it, so to speak, so I don’t lose my money.

I have a basic flip-phone, for almost 4 years now, think I paid about $ 40.00 for it.

I've been using Net10 for about 5 years and have been quite satisfied with it.

It uses an ATT network for my phone (which is what I had with a contract plan) at a low cost.

The plan I have now is unlimited voice/text and 3gb data per month. With taxes, the cost is $39 and change per month (automatic refill which gives you a $5 discount).

My present phone (and last previous one) are made by BLU - unlocked gsm) and I have been happy with them. Most of my data use is via wifi so does not count against the monthly limit.

People used to complain about Net10 customer service, but I have found it to be good. Setup my new phone sim porting my number all online through facebook customer service - maybe 20 minutes.

If you are a member of AAA I believe they have a plan that costs about $25.00 monthly and includes a free I phone 4.

Tracfone pay-as-you-go. No contracts. Annual ‘service’ is about $6 per month or around $60 per year. Then, you just have to buy minutes.

Minutes never expire.

They also have added some ‘plans’ starting as low as $10/month.
