Trump Keeps Promise to Black Community

President Trump kicked off February by inviting leaders from the black community to the White House to engage in dialogue and hash out solutions. Day one of Black History Month was the perfect time to dive into what he vowed while on the campaign trail: address the needs within communities of color.

The “forgotten man and woman” was a recurring Trump theme in the 2016 election. One could make the case that despite the obvious irony, no group was as forgotten during the last eight years as black Americans, many of whom find themselves living in violent Chicago neighborhoods, lacking employment, or trapped in failing schools. Trump has surrounded himself with people he trusts to provide guidance and effect positive change.

Reflecting on former President Barack Obama reveals someone seemingly unmoved by the ills one might argue should have naturally been among his top priorities. But the black community remained forgotten even to Obama, the first black president. In 2011, Rep. Maxine Waters, certainly an Obama fan, publicly questioned why his jobs bus tour, for example, steered clear of the black community.

In an interview with CNN in 2011, Waters spoke of Obama’s tour through Iowa, Minnesota, and Illinois by saying, “He went to rural communities and he went with a plan … to invest money in those rural communities in order to develop jobs.” The representative added, “We want the rural poor to be attended to. But we also want the urban poor to be attended to.”

Is there an Institution on this Earth more Racist than the Democrat Party?

Progressives believe that White People have a wide range of cultures and attitudes.

But all black people, think and act, EXACTLY alike.

Divide and Conquer, they think that they OWN the minority vote, simply because dems are "owed" their allegiance by the government programs that are provided.

That you cannot be Black (Ben Carson) or Gay (Milo Yiannopoulos) or Transgendered (Blaire White) or a Woman (Sarah Palin) and have or especially voice an even slightly right opinion.

All Dissent Must. Be. Silenced.

YES, the Entertainment Industry as a whole, the only exception might be Country Music.

I’m not sure there’s much daylight between the democrat party and the entertainment industry, with the notable exception of country music.

Divide people into groups and pit them against each other. It’s the Marxist way.

Yesterday on the radio Dennis Prager said that there is no group more traditionally racist than the Democrat Party. They literally believe blacks are inferior to whites. They create the false victimology for blacks. They enslave blacks for their votes only. They rile up blacks to fight against conservatives, whose policies would actually be beneficial for the black community, and democrats hide this fact from their black enslaved voters.

What is the deal with country music?? Why are the stars so silent on Trump and the rift in America today? I’m actually surprised, because their audience is probably 70% Trump voters.

Don’t get me wrong, silence is better than political opinions popping out the mouths of entertainers. But why wouldn’t any big names perform at the inaug?

“...the only exception might be Country Music.”

To my way of thinking REAL country music, the kind that existed prior to and during the career of Charley Pride, no longer exists. Real country music grew out of a type of life experience that no one really lives any longer. I cannot endeavor to make a connection between Hank Williams Sr. and what is called country music today. This https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwNKiiPdyOg gets to my gut in a much deeper way than when it was performed forty two years ago. I don’t know which I like best, the Charley Pride version or the original by Hank Sr.

I'm not so sure. Most people trot out the poverty element as the root of black problems. If that were truly the issue, surely over $2 trillion in poverty-related spending would have helped. Instead, the GAO reported that poverty is at an all time high. The problem is that the money was spent on things that don't address poverty. Indeed, much of it is designed to make blacks beholding to their politicians. If that not the case, tell me how free cell phones is going to eradicate poverty.

Several things need to be done. First, quit selling the idea that blacks are a victim. Instead, show them a way out through education and training programs. Second, put a system of workfare in place like they have in Germany. You show up at a public building to clean toilets, wash windows...whatever needs to be done. They quickly figure out that, as long as they have to work, they may as well get a better job. Third, convince Jesse, Al and other black spokespeople that they have an internal black problem that they need to fix. Other minorities don't have the discrimination that blacks do. They need to address why that is. I think one element is the breakdown of the black family and part of that is because welfare payments are higher when two parents are not present. It doesn't take any brains to be a father, but it's hard work being a parent.

Until we see evidence that blacks are at least trying to solve their own problems, I think $2 trillion is enough for now.

Awesome, and this right after Russell Simmons renounced his friendship with Trump because Trump is trying to prevent terrorists from entering the country. What the F have you done for the black community Russell other than glorify gang violence?

Maybe they know that even some on the left like country music.

Bad career move to alienate some of your audience if you don't need to.
