“...the only exception might be Country Music.”
To my way of thinking REAL country music, the kind that existed prior to and during the career of Charley Pride, no longer exists. Real country music grew out of a type of life experience that no one really lives any longer. I cannot endeavor to make a connection between Hank Williams Sr. and what is called country music today. This https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwNKiiPdyOg gets to my gut in a much deeper way than when it was performed forty two years ago. I don’t know which I like best, the Charley Pride version or the original by Hank Sr.
It’s like slow boring rock for old white people now
