He isn’t an Assyrian.
It’s a repeat of what happened before.
Israel’s enemies are always the same.
The trouble comes from the north , not the west .
(Micah 5:5) And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.
(Micah 5:6) And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
The JPost appears to also be fake news. President Trump didn’t say what they said he said!
I recall Reagan frequently got frustrated with Israel making unilateral moves. Some things never change.
Israel looks great compared to its neighbors, but it still has high levels of corruption and socialism.
I don’t care how clever he is, Trump has no business trying to micromanage the internal affairs of the sovereign nation of Israel.
Where does the U.S. get off telling the sovereign nation of Israel what they should and shouldn’t do in their own internal affairs?
Not only that, but many Jewish people find that kind of stuff creepy. It’s very much like having a stalker or some kind of fatal attraction thing.
Moreover, that level of suck uppery is too much to be fully believable. One has to suspect there are ulterior motives at work.

2017 total solar eclipse - interesting...bad for the nations, Esau/Edom/Rome in particular; a gash across the continent. Hmmmm.
First one like this (across America) in ~100 years = 1917/1918 timeframe...
First total eclipse in USA since 1979...the parallels are staggering: Last time Iran was in the news like today, the Carter/Reagan Ohaman/Trump paradigm shift, the spike in Christian religiosity / ‘born againism’ / End Time-ism, etc.
