Trump appointed a conservative to the high court because he needed to please Constitutional conservatives. He didn’t do it because he is a deeply knowledgeable Constitutional scholar (he once said in a presidential debate that his Supreme Court justice would have to prosecute Hillary Clinton and also said he might appoint his leftist sister to the Supreme Court); he didn’t do it because he’s an advocate of Constitutional separation of powers (he’s never made any comment along those lines). Trump appointed Gorsuch because he promised he would. And he only promised he would because he needed to gain the support of doubtful conservatives, which he almost universally did."

Both of them figured out how to get a big paycheck from a conservative audience.
They began to believe that they are Special, imbued with a genius that their worshipful listeners couldn’t live without.
And then reality intruded.
I suspect that the Beck, Levin and Shapiro incomes took a serious hit that they never dreamed could happen.
I don’t know who, if anyone, pushed the nomination but my vote has been rewarded. Thank you President Donald J. Trump!
I liked one of Mark’s books.
However, both of these two don’t understand conservatism.
It is not about ideology, but about prudence combined with the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
They are TOO ideological to be conservative.
Conservatives are NOT purists.
Levin is a wanker.

You obviously do not listen to his show. Levin as an honest broker and Constitutionalist who was all in for Donald Trump, but holds his feet, and everyone else’s feet to the fire every day.
Remember when W agreed with Every Child Left the anger of the Behind, and most Republicans supported this asinine bilge b/c W wanted it? I do. Levin’s motto: Do the right thing, or face the anger of a sizable minority of your most fervent supporters.
Overall, Levin has been very pleased with the President, but...he’s not afraid to let him have it if he missteps. That, IMO, is a very good thing.

I credit Trump for saving this country’s bacon. If he doesn’t do one darn thing his whole presidency (I know he already has done things even before he was inaugurated), we owe him so much for saving us from that vile, wicked woman.
I’ve never known levin to pass up a chance to pat himself on the back and I laugh at any notion he had anything positive to do with a Trump administration.

I faithfully listened to ML since before he was syndicated (2004 or so), bought all of his crappy books, his dad's over-hyped and crappy books, and started a LevinTV subscription - until on the 3rd day of his TV show he endorsed Cruz and viciously turned on President Trump. I got the subscription refunded but he refused to refund the other crap of his and his dad's that I bought.
I remember well when ML vowed multiple times that he would leave his "bunker" and campaign non-stop to defeat Harry Reid in NV - then did nothing because a dog or something was sick.
No one needs lectures from you about Levin's modus operandi, at least I certainly don't. ML was most certainly NOT "all in" for Trump - at most, he voted for him. He's all talk and butt-hurt. Like you. FUML.
