Michelle Obama has already shot down suggestions that she’ll run for president, but that doesn’t mean she’ll stay out of the spotlight entirely.
The Washington Post reported that the First Lady eventually plans to set up an office with a small staff. The office will be run by Obama’s deputy chief of staff, Melissa Winter, who Obama described in an email to the Post as one of her “most trusted advisors and dearest friends.”
But first, Obama, who has used her post to advocate for education for women and girls and children’s health, plans to take a long break. Then, she’ll work with staff to figure out what she wants to focus her time on. “She has such a powerful voice. You don’t have to augment with a lot of things,” Winter told the Post.

There’s been speculation that Obama will write a memoir after leaving the White House, following in the footsteps of other first ladies. Winter said that she thinks writing would be a natural fit for Obama. “I think she’d be a wonderful children’s book author. We haven’t set up a process for that, [but] down the line it would be a natural way to exhale from an experience like this,” she said.
But Obama has made it clear that, above all, she craves a sense of normalcy that she lost when her president took office. “Right now it is an empty plate,” Winter told the Post. “I really think the most important thing is to give her time to breathe and get acclimated to being a private citizen again.”

I don't know about "in charge" but there are at least several states in which she could easily be elected to the Senate.Illinois being just one.When she fixes her eye on a particular seat it will be magically opened to her...even if it's held by a Rat at the time (mysterious accusations of sex crimes appearing in the papers,planted by you-know-who!).
Who knows if this is true, but if it is, it pretty much puts the kibosh on the notion that she will run for President in 2020.
I wonder if it means she’ll be earning 300K a year again?

What kind of woman shows her own kids that it’s normal to take 10 million dollar vacations while supporting keeping poor black kids in DC going to failing schools? She doesn’t want to be in front taking the arrows but she will be a thorn in our sides for 50 more years.
Her LONG vaca from the public might include the transition back to Michael!
Plus, they took away her law license for violating the Patient Anti-Dumping Laws!
Neither one is going anywhere. They’ll be in non-stop attack mode for the next eight years.
What about Sasha? I thought they had to live in DC because Sasha was still in school. Who’s going to stay in Washington? The skinny O is going to California for awhile. Looks like separate lives for this family.

She wants a normal life except she wants to keep her 26 ladies in waiting, the hairstylists, makeup artists and chefs—all of which we had to pay for.

She’s going to spend her time getting items off high shelves for elderly white women in Target, only now, as a private citizen, she will not complain about it.
