This is a subjective list, to be sure. Posted for those needing a little break from all the political news.
By the way, last on the list was Buddy Sorrell (from the old Dick Van Dyke Show). It was nice to see him make the cut.

Most of these lists are idiotic.
This one is not quite that bad, just dumb maybe stupid.

It's more like a list of sidekicks, or I suppose "characters," not characters, that is, over-the-top caricatures.

I’m guessing the author never heard of MASH.
It ran for 11 years. Not one person from the show on this list. Perhaps they should google it.
Trivia: MASH had a spinoff. What was the title of the spinoff?

so they list Sgt Bilko (the legendary Phil Silvers) at No. 17 then post the image of the Steve Martin movie version???????
And they call themselves IMDB (International movie data base). Barruther.

Well, at least the first token leftist freak I saw was the “lovely” Jane Hathaway at #39.

There are only 11 women and 2 people of color on the list. How could TV Guide be so misogynistic and racist.

How about that billionaire guy that used to fire everybody? What ever happened to HIM? That was an awesome character.

Appears you have to be a network TV sitcom watcher to appreciate the list.
Gag me with that dimwit stuff. Produced for the democrat urban crowd.

Amazing that there is not one character from Gunsmoke: Marshall Dillon, Miss Kitty, Festus, Chester, Doc. No one from MASH? Might want to rethink this list.

I would have moved Mary Tyler Moore up the list, simply because she was an inspiration to a lot of single working women—but that is nit picking.
Its funny, the ones from the late 60-70s I know. Then I got married and I know fewer. Then we had kids. I don’t know any of them.
And now, I am learning some of the newer ones. Its like I had a 25-year drunk black out from 1990 through 2015.
