Russian hacker with some actual useful information ... shows you how to strike an ordinary match on glass. Probably everybody knew this already but I did not.

If she is old enough and her skin is dry, I can see how it might be done...

Good deal, however, finding a glass window when you are lost in the wilderness may be a problem!!! Does he provide tips on that?

We had a little metal cylinder for matches with a strike surface to take fishing. . We always waterproofed them first.

Well unless you have big pockets there wouldn’t be enough surface to generate the friction necessary. He was taking long strokes against that glass. The reality is that friction generates heat which is how the match is striking on the glass. 8>)

We learned to do this as kids. The problem is, it will scratch the glass so don’t try it on your nice bedroom mirror.

When we were kids, we also noticed that it worked best with white matches for some reason.

My dad used to strike matches using the same technique on his rear end. He would raise a leg to stretch out the denim, put his middle finger over the match head, put the match midway on the cheek, and quickly slide it over the denim down the leg, and the match would light every time.

He also did a single roll up on his trouser legs, and used that cuff as an ash tray.

I have also used the hamstring part of the blue jeans to strike a match.

Those were strike anywhere matches or kitchen matches, these are safety matches.

Tip: cut off tips of safety matches to make small bombs or gunpowder if needed.

Correction. cut of tips of strike anywhere matches, not safety matches.

Don't need a match....gonna start a fire with the mirror.

That's why his demo is pretty worthless.

Yeah mirrors work great when there is a sun present. In a blizzard or a cold night, not so effective. 8>) But I like your plan better.
