President Obama admitted he cried at a recent senior staff send-off dinner and is now claiming that hed be able to get re-elected if he had run for president again.
I am confident in this vision because Im confident that if I had run again and articulated it, I think I couldve mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it, Obama said in a The Axe Files podcast interview by former aide David Axelrod.
I know that in conversations that Ive had with people around the country, even some people who disagreed with me, they would say, The vision, the direction that you point towards is the right one,' the outgoing president said.

America would have rejected you hands down Obama. They have despised what you have done to this country. We would like to forget about you as soon as possible.
Just go away Obama. Stay away Obama.
These are great times for the country and for us individually. I almost died this past February and questioned why I lived.
Now I know. To witness this.
Don’t be misled. He’s right. He likely would have been reelected.
Why are we posting these? It’s irrelevant.

If he wanted a civil war on his hands. The People have had their fill of utopian liberal fascism.

I think he would win, too. His only discernible political talent is getting himself elected. People like him, but they hate his policies. For unknown reasons, he is able to remain separate from those policies.
For unknown reasons, he is able to remain separate from those policies.
Agreed. Bill Clinton credibly made the same claim in 2000 that were he eligible he could have won a third term.
National Whiner’s Day indeed.
I don’t think that was as huge a factor as some. The latest number is over 1,030 lost seats from state legislatures up to the Presidency for the Democrats—all on Obama’s watch. His policies are deeply unpopular, and no amount of media fluff could undo that. For some reason, the man himself was basically immune to it all. Thankfully, he’s an impatient, impertinent twerp who used his pen and phone too much and now faces 70% of his “accomplishments” being wiped out in the first few days of the Trump Administration.
Great Photoshop
LOL
Agreed. My observation of Obama is that, aside from self promotion, he is not either detail oriented or a hard worker. A few liberals I know refer to him as “Spock-like”, and while it was meant as a complement, it also points out that he is aloof and does not build the relationships necessary to get things done.
Each of these weak area’s are probably areas where I think Trump probably excels. The only attribute of Obama’s I wish Trump had is his ability to be articulate. We’ll see.
Mitt put in such a lukewarm performance that it might not have even needed “cheating” (other than the usual political lies).
The heart of Donald Trump is in an entirely different echelon.
He HAS mobilized a majority of the American people! HEH HEH What a Maroon!
Interesting. It's actually a good description for him, but I think your assessment is a better one than the inevitably fawning "he's so brilliant we all have to catch up to him" interpretation.
The only attribute of Obamas I wish Trump had is his ability to be articulate
I'm not yet convinced that he isn't articulate. He does tend to keep away from the details, but my read on that is he's approaching it all from a standpoint of negotiations--you don't want the other side to know exactly what you have planned and how you expect to accomplish it.
RE: Dem losses during Obama’s presidency.
Arkansas in 2008 had:
Democrat Governor
2 Democrat US Senators
3 Democrat US and 1 Republican House Reps
After the 2016 election:
Republican Governor
Republican state Senate and House and all state offices
2 Republican US Senators
4 Republican US House Reps
Hillary Clinton lost with only 33.7% compared to Trump with 60.6% of the votes.

Missouri took a similar turn in 2016 toward Republicans, too.
In any event, even without term limits Bill would be well past his "sell-by" date by now.
2016 map exhibits the Republican Party expansion.
2014 map is Congressional results (when the Democrats got slaughtered).
2016 map was better than we could have ever imagined.
That is so creative.
