If done WITHOUT the Obamacare built in subsidy, plans might end up being reasonable things again. My employer has an Obamacare exemption and, while one needs to be careful in picking the plan, one can get a fair catastrophic plan for almost nothing if one is well set enough to pay for the rest out of pocket. So who’s going to look after the poor. Believe it or not, I don’t believe they are all incorrigible bums, nor that they shouldn’t get a hand up. I believe charity is great, and when churches do it, it really points up the blessings of God to the recipients, who can then ride that spiritual updraft to a better future life. However I don’t want those blankety blank agents of “Caesar” to have their hand in the till, profiting as proud do-gooders.
