Important Note – Clear Your Cookies and Browser Cache Frequently…
The Conservative Tree House ^ | November 3, 2016 | by Sundance

A rather long and complex issue has surfaced that CTH has specific knowledge of.

It’s a bigger issue than appears on the surface. However, to avoid a lengthy distraction -which will consume unnecessary energy- the short version is:

Until the election is over, if you travel the internet into news sites, political sites, and content containing political discussion therein, clear your browser and cache frequently throughout the day.

SHORT SUMMARY:
We have become aware there is a specific, intentional and ongoing “malvertising” effort. That is, hidden and targeted malware embedded within political advertising (by Team Clinton) that is intended to disrupt targeted users based on their web browsing history.

If you have seen a Clinton ad anywhere you are probably a ‘carrier‘. It doesn’t take any action on your part to gain the malware virus other than to be on a site where the malvertising is active. Once you carry the malware it travels with you in an effort to disrupt your navigation on targeted web sites/web pages.

CTH is one of the targeted sites, I’m sure there are many more, including popular social media platforms. It would not surprise me to discover the majority of Pro-Trump sites are the primary targets. (More on that at another date/time).

If you are having navigation issues you have probably been exposed. Word Press, the platform we use, estimates that 20% of CTH readers are carriers (it’s probably much more). However, the good news is (hopefully) you can rid yourself of the issue by deleting your cache and/or cookies frequently.

If you are having site navigation issues, try clearing your browser history, cookies and especially the cache.

Remember, there are trillions of dollars at stake. There is nothing the opposition will not do to retain power. Truth and sunlight is a risk.

I’ve been using Ad Blocker with Firefox for a long time, I see no ads at all. No problems either. My laptop did lock up a few nights ago, but I suspect that is because the CPU fan is going out, so I Have to be careful until our next gig when I can afford to order a new one.

I also have used Malwarebytes a lot, as good as C Cleaner and has a good reputation.

www.malwarebytes.com

Neither will wipe out favorites/bookmarks.

“...my IE has been locking up for the past few weeks.”

Why in the Sam Hill are you still using Bill Gates’ browser?

I have Windows 7 and am using IE. Does anyone know how to delete the address window history list or turn it off?

Timely topic. Did some maintenance just this morning - disk cleaner, defrag, CCleaner, Malwarebytes (annoying double pop ups from them and invariably during game time) and Avira.

Your bookmarks will be safe but you may have to enter password info again when you visit some sites.

If you let CCleaner delete all cookies you will probably have to log in everywhere and possibly lose specific settings for some sites. CCleaner will let you specify which cookies you want to save. For example, I typically don't log off from FreeRepublic, I just close the browser. CCleaner is set to keep the cookie for FR, so I don't have to retype the password when I start the browser again.

I’ve noticed the same thing.
Plus I’m getting sales robocalls every day, telling me I’ve recently visited a site and can win a $100 gift card if I answer a few intrusive questions.

Why do you use IE when you’re on FR? Why not use Firefox all the time?

Just curious.

Microsoft loses about 40 million Internet Explorer users in one month

I have to clear the cookies when I go to Youtube as I want to see a variety of content on the rightside instead of what I saw last.

IE Displays certain HTML framed graphics better....I have never had a problem with IE.

I am Windows 10 now and also haven’t had problems with it....Updates take longer is my only complaint.

I use Firefox mainly for Photobucket because their video ads are a mess..I also use it when visiting some ad intense sites.

You will not lose your bookmarks - you will have to log back in though, but if you have your login credentials in the browser, it will remember them.
