View Larger Image Bill Donohue comments on the way Amazon and Walmart are handling offensive Halloween costumes this year:
Amazon and Walmart have one standard for transgender persons and one for Catholics: they will not tolerate the slightest insults to the former, but they have no problem offending the latter.
Recently, Amazon, Target, and Walmart pulled a Tranny Granny Halloween costume, saying it was offensive. It is not certain how many cross-dressers complained, but at least one activist said that it was humiliating, dehumanizing, and degrading. Walmart was particularly contrite, telling LGBTQNation that it clearly violates our policy.
We have no problem with Target: it does not carry costumes that clearly insult Catholics. But Amazon and Walmart do.
Amazon is carrying an outfit called, Keep Up the Faith Priest Mens Costume. The priest is wearing a black cassock that features him sporting an erection; the nun, dressed in full habit, is depicted as pregnant. It is also selling, Foreplay Womens Sinful Sister Catsuit and Headpiece, a black scantily-clad costume with black stockings.
Walmart has a Pregnant Nun Costume that lives up to its name. Heavenly Hottie Costume Foreplay is also available in black: the nun outfit is a one-piece body suit that features white high boots; it is adorned with a large cross in the chest area.
There are no excuses for what Amazon is doing, but Walmart is worse. It likes to tout itself as a Christian-friendly store, yet when it comes to Catholics, it drops its guard.
It is not a good cultural sign when corporate elites are more sensitive to cross-dressers than they are to Catholics.

ALL Halloween costumes are an insult to GOD.
Yes, some of those costumes i.e. “Heavenly Hottie” are disrespectful, but somehow I am not threatened by this.
Christianity is still a very strong force in our culture.
We as Americans are used to being able to occasionally poke fun and be irreverent. Now if some of these costumes were being worn in a wrong circumstance, for instance inside of an actual church during a ceremony, then yes, that would be highly inappropriate and should be discouraged.
You’re kidding, right? :)
Oh gosh. Holiday outrage from the liberals again. You destroyed Easter, thanksgiving, Columbus Day, Christmas, Washington and lincolns birthday, and now out to destroy hilloween. Screw you, you liberal jerk. Every year we have fanatic liberals like you destroying America! Please leave my country today you spoiled brat!
People talk about the coming Christian persecution in America, and they’re right, but the only ones I see getting mocked and harassed are the Catholics.
This tells me the Catholic Church is truly the one true Church that Jesus Himself set up with Peter as the first Pope.
These issues are better settled by the free market forces...
I can only imagine how many “Tranny Granny” costumes are going back to the manufacturer...
By calling attention to it, Bill Donahue just sold a lot more of these costumes.
Our radical Islamic friends agree.
“TRICK” or “TREAT”? UNMASKING HALLOWEEN
Trick or treat! When said by children, these three words bring back a flood of childhood memories to most adults. Memories of masquerading as vampires, ghosts, witches, ghouls, monsters and fairies. Memories of canvassing the neighborhood, going door to door, shouting those three little words, and watching their bags fill up with all sorts of candies, apples, nuts and other goodies. Memories of parades, parties and playing tricks, like soaping the neighbors windows, decorating their trees with toilet tissue, or playing baseball with their roadside mailboxes.
Yes, hearing the words trick or treat from little children can cause adults to wish they were kids again.
After all, one might reason, whats so wrong with Halloween? Most believe that it is just another harmless childhood indulgencemuch the way they view Christmas and birthday parties. Many wonder, Whats so wrong with having a little fun?
Besides teaching children that it is alright to beg for something instead of earning it through work, and also turning them into extortionists (trick or treat essentially means give me a treat or Ill play a trick on you), Halloweenits spooky costumes, scary jack-o-lanterns, juvenile tricks and colorful paradesmay look like clean, innocent fun. But its traditions, customs and practices are rooted in a past far darker, far more sinister and far more demonic than you may realize...

And Jesus loves you, too.
The only person I’ve ever seen wearing a pregnant nun costume was a fairly devout Catholic woman that was about 7 months pregnant. It was Halloween costume day at work, and the Catholic boss thought it was hilarious. As one of the few proddies in the office, I sat out the discussion, but none of my co-workers seemed offended.
How, exactly?
At this point I wonder if Jesus loves you. Destroying a country is a huge sin.
IDK what/who are ‘proddies’?
Re : Post #14 ~
‘At this point I wonder if Jesus loves you.’
UnChristian, unnecessary, and in poor taste...
You should be ashamed of yourself.
I don’t think Jesus does love liberals who are out to destroy America. This person is a Hillary supporter. I am not going to support this persons liberal agenda. You shouldn’t either.
Proddie is intended as a Catholic slur for Protestant, but like ‘Cracker’ and ‘Redneck’, or even ‘deplorables’ if you adopt the term, you’ve pulled their fangs. (A lesson that gentlemen of color would do well to learn).
