Had never heard of the 11 year old devoured by the polar bears at the
Prospect Park Zoo. Saw also that a 29 year old kook got into the poar
bear pit in Central Park in 1982.
A New Mexico state trooper had his little boy killed by a mountain lion
years ago. I think there are more wild animal attacks than we ever hear of.
Then you know nothing about hunting...How close to a road do you think that was??? How long do you think they followed those hounds??? How deep in the woods do you think they are??? Do you have any Idea what it takes to carry that bear out of the woods???

Deer are creatures of habit...Take a little time and scout where the deer feeds, travels and sleeps and you can set a stand to harvest one...Dogs aren’t needed...
Bear, on the other hand are NOT creatures of habit...A bear may roam up to 30-40 miles in a day...Just roaming...

I see you’re fairly new here. Most people on this site know how to act civil to one another even if they disagree. I am sure the moderators would agree with me.
And I really don’t need your advice on hunting. I’ve got 1000+ acres I can hunt anytime I want. Dogs won’t be necessary.
Also, I can drive within 30 minutes of my home and show you half dozen black bears every day of the week. I really don’t need your advice concerning bears or deer but thanks anyway.

I live about 100 yards from the Smoky Mtns Nat’l Park...I’ve been around bears and deer for 67 years...Hunted both all my life...It was the comment about the 3 year old that did this...That was a little extreme, don’t you think?
Anyway, I should not have said what I did...
I apologize too. My reply wasn’t exactly civil.
I don’t hunt much but I am around it all the time. I certainly have no problems with hunting — I do prefer people eat what they kill unless it’s coyotes, bobcats, alligators, etc., and that there be some sportsmanship involved.
Personally, I do a lot more fishing.
Again, sorry for being uncivil.
