The video at the link truly needs to be seen to be appreciated.

"I'm a little disappointed in High Point University for allowing him to be here because I think of this environment as one that promotes diversity of one that includes all types of ideas," said senior Elizabeth Reichart.

She may be the poster girl for "Special Snowflake".

It’s a private liberal arts university and can do what it wants. If these students don’t like it, they can take their “business” elsewhere.

When you let liberals control education from kindergarten, this is what you get.

The university “promotes diversity” & yet some students are wondering if Trump should even be allowed there..??? What’s wrong with this picture?

Universities should be for the learning and exposure of all ideas-—hence the word ‘universal’. The leftist hacks would rather censor instead. Pay attention snowflakes-—you might learn something from Mr Trump’s speech perhaps that might enrich your learning experience.

Holy cow! This girl represents the epitome of ignorant college students. Miss Elizabeth just enforces the thought that not all people are meant to go to college.

I say close all the colleges and let these "special" snowflakes go back to Mommy and Daddy. Make the students and professors go out and get real jobs, in the real world.

Yet it sounds to me like you are all for stifling any idea that disagrees with your ideas. What exactly are you afraid of Lizzie?

That is the kind of young woman who gives progressivism a deservedly bad name. Sounds like she is working her way through school part-timin’ at the local glue factory and the fumes have toasted her noggin.

The irony of that statement is lost on the child who spake it.

I have a degree from HPU. It’s a country club school. They agreed to create a school in Winston Salem and take advantage of the tuition plans of Sara Lee, RJ Reynolds and Integon. They made a ton of money. That’s how I got mine.

I bet they had to look long and hard to find a student that could say a complete sentence.

"We could either walk away silently and that be more damaging than us speaking up, but now that he's come it's actually a great opportunity for us to exercise our voice," Caudle said.

Josh, exercising the voice is easy, perhaps since you are in college exercising your mind might be more appropriate.

High Point is a private university that is quite expensive. My oldest son gave it some consideration: it has a good business program, among some other strengths.

As with most schools, one segment of students is going to class, getting their degrees, and getting on with life. Another segment is mostly partying but may graduate eventually, if only because their parents cut the money off. Only a small minority is involved in deranged “activism,” but they get most of the attention.
