A McDonald's employee in Brenham has been fired after she refused to serve an off-duty police officer ordering food for himself and his family.
When the officer and his two children tried to order at the burger chain near U.S. 290, the woman behind the counter, whose son is currently in custody, told the officer she wouldn't serve him. Another employee stepped in to take the order.

Interesting considering that it’s Brenham. Haven’t been there for slightly more than a year. Lots of Texas is, unfortunately, changing.
Silicon Valley has no decent news sources on the web - all crap, all the time. And the writing of what you finally get to read is a cross between syrupy soccer mom and psychological evasion and manipulation at a level the CIA would envy.

Yeah, and you never know which links are going to cause a freeze-up. I read the article, it didn’t say much of anything (name of the woman nor photo). Went to the comments, it froze up and had to close it.
I wish there was a “graphic free” page for news articles, ones that don’t start playing unwanted videos at once (and often more than one at a time, which the computer loves, a nice recipe for a freeze-up).

I absolutely refuse to eat at any fast food place nowadays if you don’t fit into a certain group you might get tainted food.
Another reason why i see robots being a logical choice, get rid of the angry server who might spit on your Big Mac, or worse.
