They are simply public servants that keep the streets clean(er) and safe(r). Can you imagine Brazil without the sweepers?

Well, never been there, not likely going there...but yes, street sweepers like that are needed in Brazil by all accounts. I have no problem at all with that. In fact, I’d like to see Brazil outsourcing these guys to Europe, for a fee - win-win.
