(Full title)‘Never Trump Is Officially Dead and Buried’: How Ken Cuccinelli, Mike Lee Sold Out Grassroots for Convention Floor Spectacle

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Ken Cuccinelli of the Senate Conservatives Fund and Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) sold out grassroots conservatives so they could make a spectacle on the floor of the Republican National Convention as part of the last dying breaths of the “Never Trump” collective, which is now officially dead, Breitbart News has confirmed.

A senior Republican involved in the negotiations told Breitbart News that Cuccinelli and Lee “were given an opportunity to accept two different proposals by the RNC chairman Reince Priebus.”

“They walked away from both,” said the Republican strategist personally involved in the negotiations, someone who had friends on both sides.

Breitbart’s site sucks! Locks up, can’t comment, ad overload, page jumping all over the place, what a piece of crap.

Not your fault, orchestra, but I would never link to that clusterf***.

<< Tea Party’s dead. Guys like Lee, Cruz, Sasse and Cuch killed it. >>

My facebook newsfeed has several posts from the #NeverTrump crowd claiming that Trump’s nomination has killed the GOP. In my view, there are aspects of the GOP that needed to go and if Trump’s presence does that, then I say, ‘Great!’

Those who claim Trump’s nomination is the death of conservatism, I disagree. We conservatives didn’t get a Constitutional conservative this time. That doesn’t mean we roll over and die. It means we stay in the fight, stay in the mix, continue to try and influence whoever’s elected in November and put forth conservative candidates in future elections.

I just don’t get all the hand-wringing by the anti-Trump, crowd, I’m sorry.

"I don't know what is wrong with Modern Men."

You actually answered your own question. "Modern Men" have been cowered into "Beta Males" from all the brow-beating of feminists and PC males. There was a time in the early 70's that I agreed with feminist efforts, mainly because I've always believed in the strength of the female mind and will. Then I woke up and saw the hypocritical agenda of NOW and no longer believe that women are oppressed. Just read recently about women not being equally represented in chess games. WTF?

I wish just one reporter would ask Hillary where she stands on women's rights in Muslim countries that treat women as chattel. Where is Hillary? Where is NOW?...when muslim men mutilate, rape, honor kill, deny education, deny driving, etc? Where the hell are these feminists???

Don’t know which embarrasses me more supporting Cuccinelli or supporting Cruz when he first started out. Both should go away and take Lee Mittens and lil billie krystol with them.

Lee and Cuccinelli turned down two packages that had almost everything they wanted in them

They are ready for jobs at the Palestinian Authority.

I continue to be amazed at the way that politics induces otherwise shrewd men and women to do foolish things.

I was very much for Cruz at one time. I saw him as the anti establishment champion to save us from JEB!! I was such a mirror image to your experience I won’t reiterate.
I agree that he has one chance left. I don’t know or predict what he will do. I really don’t care. If he is doing any focus groups work he has to know that he is in a nose dive to hell. At least he could preserve what is left of his dignity if he quit dividing and started UNITING. It’s over, Cruz — wake up. also there are a few congressman and Senators who have tried to stay ambiguous. I am aware of one near me. Today there was a letter to the editor in his districts paper that called him out to quit hiding. The well written letter to the Editor noted- “ its Hillery or TRUMP. Tell your constituents who you support. They have a right to know so they can start a write-in campaign if necessary. “.

As a woman, all I could do was take in her stunning beauty and poise. She could teach her husband how to use a teleprompter! What’s wrong with modern men, KC??? You and I have discussed this over the years since Palin came on the scene.

I was floored by her. Not just her beauty, which she has in abundance, but by her charm, grace and dignity. Her delivery was very, very good. Also her love for this country and for her husband and family were shining bright. I hope she changes her mind about campaigning, she'll be a knock out on the trail.

I have gotten the impression the the Rules are adopted by a Rules Committee brought into being by each four year spaced set of delegates. As a new Rules Committee is formed (elected) and set, they can change the rules based upon their political make-up and to favor whoever is in ascendancy with the delegates for that election.

Hence, last time we had all of these Romney centered rules and they exist until just prior to the convention when the new Rules Committee is created and meets.

Well frankly, one of the reasons I ended up going with Trump over Cruz is the “Harvard lawyer” part!

That is just ridiculous. Since when does the party require a loyalty test? That’s like my friend demanding that I unfriend her ex boyfriend on FB. Lee was right. The RNC could have done itself a favor by allowing the group to lose the vote transparently with a role call vote, rather than who could shout the loudest. They chose the low road. I can support Trump without supporting the steamroller that happened yesterday. It smacked of Obama’s “I won” comment. Thuggishness for all to see.

Well, there’s one male vote for Melania! Good for you. The rest of these guys...I don’t know what’s wrong with them. I think Chuck Todd is gay.

Did you see Unruh talking about how the voters votes didn’t count? That’s how dumb they are.

Modern men are Charles Murray men - they marry their equals in stature, power...and looks (which means dowdy in the Hillary mold). Melania married UP in a financial sense although she was probably quite wealthy through her own career. But a billionaire she was not.

Men today seem to have no interest in physical beauty, I think. A generalization, I realize, but I believe it.

Just read recently about women not being equally represented in chess games. WTF?

In the '70s, a friend of mine walked into a Dallas bathroom and saw a group of men--including blues great Freddie King--having a literal pissing contest. Your post makes me realize the sheer injustice of women not being allowed to participate in such contests. There is no difference between a man and a woman, so what possible excuse can there be?

It’s not ridiculous. We don’t need a loyalty test, but we don’t need traitors.

These guys were made plenty of offers, and they walked. Their purpose was clear: disruption and disunity.

“Get ‘em out.”-Trump

“The RNC could have done itself a favor by allowing the group to lose the vote transparently with a role call vote, rather than who could shout the loudest. “

No, those asshole traitors didn’t have their paperwork done correctly.

The RNC should do itself a favor and kick these democrat wannabees out of convention hall.
