WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Thursday that it is monitoring 320 U.S. pregnant women with laboratory evidence of Zika virus infection, up from 287 women a week earlier.
However, the number of babies born in the United States with birth defects linked to Zika infection in mothers during pregnancy, or lost pregnancies linked to the virus, remained unchanged from last week's report at 7 and 5, respectively, according to a CDC registry created last month.
The registry compiles poor outcomes of pregnancies with laboratory evidence of possible Zika virus infection in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The latest figures are as of June 30.

All reported U.S. cases of Zika have so far involved people who traveled to areas with a current outbreak, but health experts have warned that local transmission cases are likely to occur in the coming weeks during summer mosquito season. Gulf Coast states, such as Florida and Texas, are seen as particularly vulnerable.
The virus can also be transmitted via unprotected sex with an infected man
Now, does this virus come from a mosquito? Or are the thousands of illegals from south of the border bringing it with them? Is the govt. telling us the truth?
Unprotected sex???
Pinheads. Where is the CDC?
Also, some cases are of non US citizens but of foreign nationals recently traveling outside of US borders, yet Obama and dims are demanding hundreds of millions to "treat!"
Presumably Planned Parenthood needs $$$$$ to abort these babies, not their usual $$$!
Wait wait wait: is the cohort “320 U.S. pregnant women” the same as “320 pregnant citizens of the United States”?
Because if not, I have the solution, and it involves a very large trebuchet.
The media and our illegitimate government like to conflate the truth with their evil agenda, which is why I ask these questions.
Always with the Watch Lists....
How many are not permanent residents or citizens?
here we go again.
But with the sex thing this could really spread fast.
I don’t buy that the CDC and WHO that ZIka is for sure to blame for microcephaly. Many questions left unanswered and the correlation appears to be more due to the amount of media coverage connecting the two.
Here’s a recent article expressing some doubts.

That’s my bet also. 320 illegal alien border jumpers infected with it.
There was a cdc whistleblower involved in engineering mosquitoes in brazil who was disappeared when a swat team surrounded his car not too many years back.
The company responsible for zika is oxitec, the man who funded it is bill gates.
Oh boy. A new group of refugees to be invited to live on the taxpayers dime. Women are going to be coming from all over the infection zone to give birth here. They know the DHS will allow them in. They know they can overstay their visa. And they know the taxpayer will take care of their Zika victim children for their entire life as a US citizen.
From the linked article: "One possibility that has been raised is the pesticide pyriproxyfen, which is applied to drinking water in some parts of Brazil to kill the larvae of the mosquitos that transmit Zika. Pyriproxyfen is an analogue for insect juvenile hormone which is cross reactive with retinoic acid, which is known to cause microcephaly."
This fits exactly with my suspicion that the microcephaly is caused by an environmental factor. In this case, the environmental factor would be the pesticide used to control the mosquitoes. And because Zika does not happen without the mosquito vector, and the pesticide is not used unless there are mosquitoes, the microcephaly is only observed in areas where that pesticide is being used--and the cause was mistakenly blamed as Zika.
