The whole reason I wanted to watch Captain America: Civil War, and I was excited to see it, was because of Bucky. Bucky is one, fantastic character. But, in this clip you can watch Bucky get slapped around like a schoolgirl by African super, super, superhero: Black Panther.

Here is the actor playing "Black Panther," talking about his African accent he created for the movie.

I remember how excited I was to see the latest Star Wars movie after the first still photo came out:

Yeah, I have as much excitement to see Bucky getting thrashed by Black Panther. I remember the director of the Disney Star Wars movie, J.J. Abrams said- "

JJ Abrams said: "...you look around that room and you see the whitest f-__-_- room in the history of time. Its just unbelievably white. And I just thought, we’re casting this show and we have an opportunity to do anything we want, why not cast the show with actors of color?"

Not the kind of Black Panther I was expecting.

Boyega and Ridley were the absolute worst things about Force Awakens.

As someone who has read Marvel Comics since the mid sixties, I would expect Black Panther (even pre genius/inventor retcon) to wipe the floor with Bucky. Bucky is an interesting character, but he isn’t likely to best the Panther without help a sympathetic script writer.

Black Panther was a badass. He held off the whole Fantastic Four.

I remember an article before Force Awakens came out, where the Disney fellows were saying the new movie could top 5 billion dollars. It barely made 2 billion dollars, and if you take out the money spent on advertising, it made about a billion dollars. Gee, I wonder if casting had anything to do with that? I go to Comic Cons, and all sorts of nerdy SCiFI gatherings, and let me tell you, there are no black people there. I don’t go to Snoop Dogg concerts, and black folk don’t camp or watch Star Trek. So effectively, Disney is catering to 10% of the population who won’t watch it, and who have no money. Tasty Pick!

The new Black Panther will most likely hold off the entire Avenging Team, and manage to get a date with Black Widow

Spoken like a true racist.

I’ll be sure to watch your movie on the Chinese movie site, J.J.

That’s not BLM. That’s Marvel. Black Panther can pretty much b*tch slap just about anybody in Marvel. He’s as good a fighter as Captain America or Batman, but he can bench 50 tons in his suit.

Winter Soldier, Bucky after being subjected to Soviet experimentation is only as strong as a peak human can be. That would be about 800 lbs.

It’s an accurate portrayal of what probably would happen in the comics.

Doubt it. But the teams are extremely unbalanced, with Vision, Iron Man, and War Machine on one side and Cap, Ant-Man, and Widow on the other. That ain’t fair. Vision alone would wipe them out.

Well I can tell you that there are black folks at the cons, but as a significant marketshare, no. The pop culture industries are definitely pandering to weak markets. SW however was going to make its money regardless of casting, and their terrible performances proved it. Force Awakens is not what I’d call the Star Wars of its generation, just a cool JJ Abrams flick, at least the parts without the 2 noobs.

I agree with you about Vision. I do not like that character. You shouldn’t have a god character. It’s like Superman vs Phyllis Diller.

Right. Superman vs. Batman? Come on.

But Vision was created to defeat the other “god” character, Ultron. Unless he has some real weakness that hasn’t been revealed yet, like Superman is vulnerable to magic.

But you know what, though- The whole point of the Star Wars Force Awakens movie is to repopulate the Jedi Temple. Who is going to do that? Who are the only people of childbearing age in the whole movie? I am not going to watch sequels that have 1000 little Obama's running around swinging their lightsabers.

I heard a rumor that the next Star Wars movie script has the Rebels searching for Lando, and bringing him and his daughter back, like they searched for Luke in the last movie. Lando's daughter-- we need more Jedi Temple babies. I just can't do this, guys.

Danny Pink, the Dr. Who companion killed the last series-- here we go again!!

Here is the new companion. They just don't get the idea. No one wants to see the married lesbians, either. That was the last straw for me.

Yup. This. Sorry, ghosthost... but, as someone who actually has read every single Marvel superhero comics from the '60s and '70s, sans exception -- yes, I'm exactly that big a lifelong geek, thank you ;) -- Edd has it exactly right: Bucky could no more win out over Black Panther in a fair fight than Ant-Man could take on Thor. Them's the facts.
