The Westies were bad-ass but did a lot of dirty work for other bigger, more sophisticated outfits (usually Italian) by the time they disappeared; Irish gangs’ heyday was probably when they were filling NYC with immigrants (eventually leading to political power - Gangs of NY-type stuff).
I hike along the NY/NJ border, and there were mining iron settlements often along racial lines; in the mid-19th century some mines wouldn’t hire Irish workers, but by the early twentieth century the remaining mines had many Irish, Italian, and Eastern European workers. The first Catholic churches in the area were to serve them; there weren’t many other people living in the area except those related to the mining industry (mining as well as forging, and the related carting of finished product - which required farming for both fodder for draft animals as well as the ironworkers themselves). Fascinating history...
To Obozo, “Criminal Justice Reform” means blacks will no longer be held responsible nor prosecuted for their crimes.
Because rappers are experts on criminal justice, right?
Did they lobby for increased taxes, too?
“Southerners and Heartlanders have GREAT allies in Italian and Irish east coasters when we take back this country.
They just dont know it because of all the f...t bleeding heart voters.
We could take them out in a day :)”
This transplanted Southerner agrees with you. From the fact that my significant other is Italian, I know personally that Italians are our allies. :)
My favorite rappers were W. S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan — the creators of “patter song.” Best tunes, lyrics, and humor ever.
Unless Tobymac was there, the headline is a lie.
Eric Holder said the same.
They weren’t going to prosecute their people.
No doubt, the infamous Felonious Punk was there to meet Nefarious MUZ..
