Saclia! Man, was I sorry to see him go. A guy like him comes along once every century or so. Incredible constitutional scholar, but there are many of those. He actually lived the stuff, and is the best writer (not to mention the only one with a sense of humor) to sit on the court in my lifetime. No one was even close.

I believe that; as white neighborhoods crumbled my people (the Irish) would flee, while Italians would stay & fight. One of them stabbed Al Sharpton back in ‘91, and a group chased a black kid into a roadway in Howard Beach where he was struck by a car and killed.
There is no “white guilt” in Italians; in nearby North Newark NJ their old neighborhood was destroyed for public housing despite their protests, and within their lifetimes the city ended up demolishing the projects anyway because they quickly became filthy nests of crime...
