President Obama hosted some of hip-hops biggest stars for a meeting at the White House on Friday.
According to a White House official Nicki Minaj, Chance the Rapper, Alicia Keys, Wale, J. Cole, and Ludacris were among the stars who sat down with Obama and some of his top advisers to talk about criminal justice reform and the My Brothers Keeper Initiative. An official says the stars were singled out due to their work within communities to confront issues facing young people.
Through their own nonprofit work or artistic commitment, many of these artists have found ways to engage on the issues of criminal justice reform and empowering disadvantaged young people across the country, an official says.
A source close to the White House says DJ Khaled is also attending the meeting.

Hey I have an idea for criminal justice reform: Don’t break the law.
Would have been like Eisenhower meeting with the heads of the five families to discuss prison sentencing guidelines lol.
No doubt great twerking lessons for moochie if nothing else. Yewwwwwwwwwwwwww!
My favorite Rappers are dead. I like them that way...
Their message: “Off dey pigs, **** dem ho’s, an’ grab dem crab legs!”
To which Bathhouse Barry affixed that silly rictus to his mug and nodded in assent.
LOL!
Sanders meets with the Pope. Trump brings his rally excitement to parts of the US where the plight of citizens has been ignored for decades. Yeah, a Jew meets with the Pope and the only person speaking for US citizens and giving them hope is a rather flamboyant billionaire.
And this is the new norm.

Exactly.
Good for you. What a mess.
My favorite rapper is Christmas w, especially with elaborate ribbon.
I don’t see Rudyard Kipling there.
Of course, we should always listen to the advice of those who sing about killing cops for our criminal justice “reform” plan.
I was at a family party a month ago.
Found out two of my first cousin’s sons saw Straight out of Crapton.
We have leeway as Italian elders to speak our mind to the kids.
So I said “why don’t you go wear your pants around your knees, sell crack/heroin/coke on the corner, get a gun and shoot it sideways, and speak like they be.”
Then I said “For God’s sake, you’re Italian, at least emulate your own.”
Then I corrected it and said “emulate Scalia!!”
Hmmm... None of my faves are on the A-list, apparently.
I don’t believe so many of them should be in prison. I believe more of them should be buried.

That narrow minded thinking is exactly why you weren’t invited..
We had a project across the street from the last of our five blocks where we hung out growing up.
They didn’t cross their line without a beating and we didn’t cross theirs.
Until they beat up my friend Frank while delivering pizza.
Then we crossed.
They’re not NEARLY as tough as everyone gives them credit for.
