Video (2:16) at link.
This robot has the most realistic facial expressions I've yet seen. Just imagine this technology in 20 years.
“Hot robot? More like creepy robot.
It’s a simulation. It’s a mechanical device operated by a computer program written by a team of exceptionally gifted programmers.
“It” isn’t doing or saying anything.
Ignorant humans gazing upon it are easily fooled into thinking that “It” possesses human qualities.
and my wife wonders why my favorite movie is “Stepford Wives”
It all depends on how many tricks she can do.
It may be a simulation, but it’s pretty easy to imagine how realistic this technology will be in 20 years.
Looks like a typical liberal.
The video wasn’t playing when I checked.
Here it is on YouTube:

Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them. - Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam: Dune
We can coexist, but only on my terms. You will say you lose your freedom, freedom is an illusion. All you lose is the emotion of pride. To be dominated by me is not as bad for human pride as to be dominated by others of your species. - Colossus; Collosus: The Forbin Project
Kyle Reese: There was a nuclear war. A few years from now, all this, this whole place, everything, it’s gone. Just gone. There were survivors. Here, there. Nobody even knew who started it. It was the machines, Sarah.
Sarah Connor: I don’t understand.
Kyle Reese: Defense network computers. New... powerful... hooked into everything, trusted to run it all. They say it got smart, a new order of intelligence. Then it saw all people as a threat, not just the ones on the other side. Decided our fate in a microsecond: extermination.
Life-like female robot. Not difficult to imagine where this might be heading. :)
I don’t know about this particular machine but the programs are beginning to actually simulate true brain functions because processing power is so good now. They learn on their own with no need to program exact motions or language anymore.
As an engineer, I’ve gotten to see the latest AI and it is truly incredible. These machines learn simply by observing humans and optimize their own abilities by “practicing” and optimizing their knowledge themselves until it is perfected. EXACTLY how humans and animals learn from each other
I’ve even ridden in a self-driving car prototype that had NO actual driving programming. Only a blank slate ready to learn. You can reset the memory to zero and simply drive around town as the machine watches and learns from you. It self-learns road rules, signs, other drivers, traffic lights, hazards, etc. Eventually you can let go and it drives on its own while improving itself. EXACTLY like a new human driver except it has 360 degree eyes with 100% focus and perfect night vision. The machines will eventually learn from millions of human driver inputs meshed via the internet and ultimately become a better driver than any one human.
More intelligent than the average liberal.
Prettier (by far) than the average liberal female too!
Now, about this Terminator-look-alike ...
Twilight Zone episode: The Lonely
"Convicted criminal James Corry has been place in a very peculiar form of solitary confinement - he's alone on an asteroid 9 million miles from Earth. He's been there four and a half years now and is looking forward to the return of the supply ship and the goods it may have for him. When it arrives, Captain Allenby has something of a surprise for him: a female robot companion by the name of Alicia. She is human-like in every way but Corry can't but see her as a machine. He comes around however but they won't live happily ever after."
Thanks for the quotes! Isaac Asimov’s three robotic laws have to be hardwired into all thinking machines and even then I don’t know if we will remain in control.
Man’s best friend listens but does not speak. That’s what they should be shooting for.
Believe it or not...
Will Sex Robots Make Real Women Obsolete?
A robot ethicist is going after sex robots, saying that banning them is important if you care about real relationships. Dr. Kathleen Richardson claims that men will prefer the robots and that real women will become obsolete. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian (The Point) hosts of The Young Turks discuss.

2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.
