Not as sad as how Cruz has revealed himself to be GOPe.
Quite honestly, the Cruzers (as opposed to Cruz supporters) brought the animosity on themselves.
It's the nastiest group on FR, not even close.
Kinda sad how so many otherwise smart conservatives were taken in by a slick-talking lawyer who is literally married to the GOPe and CFR.

Horribly sad that a segment of FR turned against Sarah Palin when she endorsed Donald Trump instead of Ted Cruz!
It’s only sad because I was under the impression that conservatives were smarter than liberals. Turns out it’s not true. Either that, or FR was never really a conservative website. If it was, this wouldn’t be happening.
Actually, it’s not sad at all. See, we’re tired of holding our noses for cowardly Republicans who get their marching orders from Tom Donahue. We need a fighter, someone outside the corrupt system that is Washington.
Arrogance never wins people over to your side. It’s why Jeb was crushed. It’s why Little Marco has been crushed into goo & it’s why Cruz has begun to circle the drain. Arrogance is why people despise the Uni-Party.

We started the Primary process treating Cruz and Trump as equals (with our dream ticket having both, in either order). But now Cruz has EARNED the anti-Cruz attitude here...with today’s outburst just being the latest. Cruz is not dumb, he has to know that THE BEST he can do is prevent Trump from getting a majority of delegates and throwing the nomination process into the convention - where the GOPe will, once again, pick our candidate (probably Romney, who just filed, but maybe Linda or Jeb).
To Cruz, it seems, it is better to have a GOPe candidate than Trump. To just about everyone here (other than the paid operatives), Trump is still FAR SUPERIOR than a GOPe candidate. If Cruz would show he understands that, then the anti-Cruz attitude will end.
We kinda like candidates who respect their voters. Crazy for a Cruz elitist to understand. We get it. We aren’t Harvard educated so we are dumb. Cool. Good luck winning without us dummies.

Well, FR has always been an anti-establishment, patriotic kind of place, so it shouldn’t be surprising when you see a large segment of the Freeper community reject a politician who’s been revealed to be a member of the hated establishment.
Despite the fact that Ted has shown his true colors over the course of this election, some people are just too invested in him to look at those transgressions honestly.
That, in my opinion, is what’s truly sad.
That works two ways, looks like to me. We should all be anti Hillary, pro America, though, IMHO.
