I give it to Charles Krauthammer he may be an anti-Trump establishment RINO, but he gets it as well, he said, “Attempting to take the nomination from Trump at the convention will result in blood on the convention center floor...and I hope, its only metaphorically.”

Especially if there is a brokered convention on the Democratic side, which I think is much more likely, the GOPe really will feel they have nothing to lose.

Which may be why Cruz is going all out to win Florida.

What makes you think Cruz is going all out to win Florida? He should but that's not happening. He's fully understand that he will lose Florida. I can't tell that he even has a strong organization in FL.

Probably a rumor started by Trump backers to create some kind of atmosphere of rolling over the competition. I believe Trump will win Florida in a significant way. AFAIK, and can see locally, lots of union workers have changed party over the last few months to support Trump, whither they vote that way in the general is anybodies guess. Most probably see him as a Democrat that they could cast a vote for as a Republican as well, he has that dog whistle the Democrats can hear but many conservatives seem to be blind to. So it goes.

He just opened 10 offices in Florida this week. Not enough of an effort to win there. If he were rely committed, this would havehappenedmuchbearlier. He can’t at this late date. His new strategy is to pull enough votes from Rubio to create a disaster for him in Florida, his home state, and make this a two man Race.

I hope you are correct, I support both Trump and Cruz, so if becomes a two man race between Trump and Cruz, the gope have no way out of accepting the will of the voters.

Cruz knows he doesn’t have a straight shot to win so why is he objecting to a brokered convention? Here’s what I think Cruz’s strategy is.

1. Get to a brokered convention.
2. Scream it’s unfair but the establishment won’t let Trump in.
3. Preach his “I’m the only outsider left who can make it” bit
4. Try to convince Trump voters to support him and still get an insurgent.

It’s obvious now that Cruz has seen the revolution coming for a while, that’s why the filibuster, calling Reid a liar, the book. He knows he can’t favor a brokered convention because its too obvious. Thus we have the next campaign to fool the poor stupid people who think they’re stopping the establishment takeover.

If it goes to a brokered convention and they squeeze out Trump, it will be the end of the GOP. That is the entire Republican Party. The communists Democrats will take control of the Federal Government and the end of America. Believe it.

Totally agree with your post.
Results in Democrat control of POTUS, Congress, and SCOTUS for my lifetime, anyway.

Disagree, Cruz is all in with the GOPe strategic voting strategy. He will run an anti Trump campaign in Florida to try to kneecap Trump for Rubio. I am confident he won’t run any negative Rubio ads. It’ll a purely anti Trump campaign. Conservatives don’t want to admit it but at this point Cruz is 100% on board with the GOPe

With a crazy socialist and an alcoholic criminal as their only choices, the Democrats have left their voters with little to choose from.

I’ve heard a couple of retired UAW boys that are big time Democrats and former Obama fans. They now call him things that would be fitting for a Klan rally.

They HATE the Clintons, know what a disaster Bernie would be, but they like American jobs, despise illegals and are now all in for Trump

Perot got a lot of UAW votes back in 92.
Folks that couldn’t bear to push the R button and disliked Clinton for the draft dodging.

Please Bob Cruz was,has been, and always has been the anti establishment cantidate long before Trump. Who was it taking lashings from McLame, Grahmnesty, Boner and the like?bWho was the single Senator attempting to force upon Congrees to pass a budget taking the heat from the media, his own party and completely ignorant dumb American population? Here I’ll make it easy for you, Cruz was that’s who. All the while Trump was expressing support of PP, financing liberal causes to take down the Tea Party and bashing republican immigration policies as “mean spirited”

The media is most correct in expecting the public to forget history. We do have a 10 second attention span

No, that is called being a gentleman and cordial. The American population is worked up into a dervish frenzy to see insults, ugliness and someone taken down personally with no thought to long term impacts. This whole election has been an embarrassment for our party; a true clown car show and we a responsible for it because we salivate and cheerleader when someone get me that one up insult in. It’s truly sickening.

We have yet to hear a succinct policy and idea on how we get things accomplished. Just a bunch of complaining and insults.

All of us should be sickened

I know a few Perot voters who reluctantly vote (R) when they have no other choice because they find the Democrat option offensive. They too, are all in for Trump.

Here's a crazy thought I've formulated over the past day or so:

What if the disgusting elitists steal the nomination? They're going to be even more arrogant and disdainful than they were after stealing that nomination for Cochran.

It'll be: "We got the nomination without doing anything to appease our voting fodder. We don't need voters. Let's take even more from the middle class, since they can't stop us. Let them eat cake".

If that ever happened, we'd be better off voting for Democrats. They at least pretend to care for the middle class.

No, that is called an alliance to attack the front runner.

We, including you, should be sickened!

Trump has specific policies on his website that he has discussed.

Alas, some refuse to accept reality.

Man in this insane firestorm of hate for Donald. I appreciate this statement by Cruz. I can support Yed if we lose. I will never support the “establishment” puppets because I can’t see what I am voting for.
