A few days before the South Carolina primary, I appeared on Morning Joe and said Trump was operating out of his lizard brain--which is a common phrase for the ancient knob of reflexive lower-brain structures perched atop our spinal cord--rather than his frontal lobe, which is where thought and reason take place. For this, Joe Scarborough accused me of suffering from "Trump derangement syndrome."
The night before, Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski had hosted an hour-long town hall with Trump--and no other candidate. It was a classic Trump performance, filled with nastiness and ignorance. He said he would abolish Obamacare but would make sure people weren't "dying in the streets." (Of course, Medicaid takes care of the indigent poor; Obamacare covers those whose employers don't offer health care.) He said he opposed the trans-Pacific trade deal because of Asian currency manipulation. (But the Chinese, the prime manipulators, aren't part of the deal.) He said he would get Germany and South Korea to pay for the American troops protecting them. (They already do pay a share.)
Trump knows exactly what he's doing. His policy ignorance is a strategy.

Joe Klein would certainly recognize “nastiness and ignorance” just about anywhere it popped up. He probably did not invent either of these sterling personality traits, but he has raised them to an art form.
When the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

I got the impression by the Drudge poll last night that Trump is our man.
I liked how he handled becoming the meat of a senator sandwich on that stage.
I also like Trump’s simple, direct, concise bullet points.
I’m not sure what to make of Trump yet.
There are a lot of passionate folks for and against the man.
Most news media folks are against him.

Hillary: “Threats to all of Bill’s former mistresses to keep them quiet?”

Hillary: “I give up! ... Oh wait, I think I’ve got it! When I stole the
White House furniture, silverware and China when Bill left Office?”
Trump: Any and/or all of the above. Take you pick!
With all the above, and you are worried that Donald will not kick her A$$?
If so, you are more naive than her voters!
I’m fairly certain these guys just pull their 1980 writings and find/replace “Trump” for “Reagan”.
I’m just an old man concerned about the future his grandchildren are going to inherit from us. I see Trump as a complete disaster for them. In this regard I do not view Trump any differently than Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders. All of them are disasters. Pick your poison.
