There hasn't been a new update on the Columbus attack in two days. Just that the fbi is looking into it. Great. Is this the beginning of the country accepting this sort of thing? Have we become numb like Obama would say? Are Americans going to ever stand up and demand that dangerous refugees/immigrants be removed from country? Is the media sweeping this attack under the rug because there wasn't a gun involved or because of agenda?
That’s because it’s just a little local workplace violence, not a terrorist attack or anything.
When you mention these things, could you include the state name? I’m in Columbus, GA, and want to make sure nothing happened here.

I suspect it isn’t getting much media attention because, to date, no one died. The cops took care of the machete-wielding terrorist. It was a 25=year veteran on the force who took him out. Now, if someone had died -then we could expect obame to hit the airwaves calling for confiscation of machetes. Oh wait.............
It’s Columbus, OH. No disrespect to Columbus, GA, but when Columbus is mention just by the city name, it’s almost always Columbus, OH because (1) it’s a state capital and (2) Ohio State is there.

Well, Augusta is the capital of Maine, but if the story is about the Masters’, it means Georgia. If a Columbus story is about the military, then it is generally Columbus, GA.

If I lived in Columbus, Ga., I might see your point. But numbers tend to sort these things out. And a city with an MSA of nearly 2 million (and growing) doesn’t need a state name attached for the geographic presumption to be correct.
