What's the best way to cripple America? Well, for one, I'd do it in secret because angry Americans are historically pretty lethal. Secondly, I would do it slowly so that even though I will be boiling the frog, he won't notice until it's too late. I would befriend people high up in the government or rise to high posts in the government. Then, I would strike at the heart of America because when you want to kill something you strike at its most vital part. All this is pretty common sense so far, right?
So what is the most vital part of America? What gives it its strength, its intellectual power, its love of country, its belief that individuals have rights and worth, its sense of responsibility, its respect for hard work, a belief that there is good and evil in the world, and that love and happiness is possible? What sustains a country and gives it courage because of these things? In America, it is something that is more important here than elsewhere, even though we usually don't think that it is or has been. If you want to cripple America, then you have to destroy its core, you have to destroy the American family.
The American family is strong because there is one thing about it that is lacking in so many other places in the world. There has always been a real sense of hope and optimism coupled with the desire to build, to create, to be free to self actualize ones dreams. This is something dictators and statists cannot allow, this rampant individualism that seeks to push limits, expand boundaries and dare what's never been done before.
It all goes back to the family where everyone has their role, everyone learns to share the load and help out, parents are not afraid to work together, accept that there's a dire need for a mother and father to be role models for girls and boys and there's no shame in being who you are or what gender you are born with. It was never questioned before that mothers have a role and fathers have a role and that the gender of a child or adult was important and beautiful.
If I wanted to destroy America I would destroy the beautiful American nuclear family and I would do it through guilt mongering because Americans above all want to be good above all else.

Anyhow, Destroy the family?
The very first thing to do in my opinion: condition folks to believe that marriage is created by the state and defined by whatever judges, politicians or the voting majority happen to think about it at any one time. Create disdain for marriage by making it just a lousy civil contract that can be broken and resumed with the state’s permission between any parties the state currently allows.

So true. I remembers as a child I learned that America is great because everyone is treated as individuals instead of belonging to a class, so each person can do and be what they want to. I was taught to take responsibility for my own life. Sad to see how society has changed.

The specific strategy used to destroy the family from which all other strategies are ancillary is the setting women against men. This is accomplished by the media always insinuating and stating that women are not equal equal to men in some way and constantly repeating it in different permutations. Women are seemingly always angry at men because they are perpetually feeling that men are oppressing them.
There needs to be a healthy balance between respecting the freedom of individuals and expecting those individuals to behave responsibly and support their local communities and institutions.
Putting all the blame on socialists and progressives is missing half the problem.
This is not the America I grew up in and have always loved.
