A Jury in the East Texas District Federal Court, the Rocket Docket, has determined that Apple has infringed four obscure software security patents, two of which were developed in concert with the US government and assigned to the CIA and are still partly owned by them, which have been acquired by a non-practicing entity, which does not even use them, AKA, a patent troll company, and must pay the troll a penalty of $626 MILLION dollars for using the patents without their permission. This despite Apple having already had these patents overturned in an EARLIER patent infringement suit on appeal for other devices! -- PING! Pinging dayglored and Shadow Ace for their ping lists.
