In the Army we called sailors “squids” so how about Squid Overboard!
I’m not too impressed with “navel,” either.
Canât have any MANuals.

Personuals?
Mabus is a real dipsh**.
The next SecDef and SecNav will be just as busy as the POTUS in erasing all the crapola created by Barry and his boys.
The military is going to have to have a serious purge of all the deviants, dead weights, enablers, rotting wood, and useless flag officers. Barry tried to fire all the good ones, so it will take a decade or more to reestablish order and discipline.
The article lists ratings that may change and one of the listed is “Damage Controlman”...
There hasn’t been a rating “Damage Controlman” for quite some time...
It is now “Hull Technician”....
In the Navy, we called the guys in the Army DAD’s..
Dumb A$$ed Draftees....
What every happened to “dogfaces”?.
Good? It isn’t suppose to do good ... like lactation studies or pregnancy awareness in the Army ... or women as SEALs ... it isn’t suppose to help, rather to make a grand social experiment grander. Fighting and winning wars is too brutal and so yesterday ...
But “person overboard” does not give enough description about their sexual orientation or other cherished minority status. What if the person were gay? How would the other sailors know that this was a person to be saved over a boring old white straight person? There needs to be some descriptor sentence used, including all memberships in protected groups, so that everyone could know exactly how important it is to save that particular person.
If they change seaman, does that affect fertility?

When the Jarheads call us Squids, it is pointed out to them that Squid is
An intelligent form of Marine Life. (then throw in the kicker)
As opposed to just Marine.
The elusive giant squid, known to science as Architeuthis dux, is one of the ... It is the largest known invertebrate in the world and one of the largest creatures in the sea. ... to be highly intelligent, and may be one of the smartest invertbrates in the ocean
Manuals...personuals
So seaman becomes "sea".
And yeoman becomes "yeo"?
Guess that would work for 57 odd genders... sheesh
“Person overboard” is also Anthrocentric and does not address the needs of individuals who may identify as rabbits, goldfish, or other non-human creatures.
The Reagan era...
“No man left behind.”
The Obama era....
“No man’s behind left alone.”
Ray Mabus has to be the worst piece of crap to be appointed as Secretary of the Navy, ever.
Exactly, this is why we need a full sentence, or possibly a paragraph, to correctly say who, or even what, has fallen overboard. You cannot over classify. Diversity is our strength, I heard Will Smith say.
boatswain: (boot = boat + swein = boy)
replacement - boatobama (boot = boat + obama = completely lacking in all male/masculine traits)
seaman: seaperson?
fireman: fireperson?
airman: airperson?
radioman: radioperson?
torpedoman: torpedoperson
. . .
It’s sad what even a brief dose of leftism will do to language.
