A naive man is appointed to fill a vacancy in the US Senate. His plans promptly collide with political corruption, but he doesn't back down.
Donald Trump is going to be GREAT in the part of “Mr. Smith”....
Ted Cruz is actually that Mr. Smith. Ted Cruz has done the same on the floor of the senate...I will never forget those moments of boldness.......and that is why Washington Hates Ted Cruz........
When I have watched it, I always wished that his cause wasn't a federally funded boys' camp.
I agree.. Still think it is a good movie though.
This is exactly why the RINO’s HATE Ted Cruz.
They are in full cahoots with the corrupt Democrats and are living it up on their power and riches.
They do NOT want some ‘honest’ ‘decent’ ‘moral’ person coming in there and lousing it all up for them.
It’s - “join our club of corruption or we will DESTROY you!”
THAT is Washington DC.
You got it......exactly right.
This started during Regan's term.......Democrats changed parties to get elected....and determined to destroy the Republican party from within. They succeeded.
Now that we have moved on to the Tea Party, those same types of people will/and may have already infiltrate it to do the same. Power is such a magnet.
That is why we do need someone who has actually been Bold enough to stand up to them, and only one that has done that is TED CRUZ...........
If Trump is my last resort, I will vote for him and pray we are not disappointed. We have nothing left to hang our HOPE hat on.
My favorite part of this movie is when the government hoods run the old 1919 Maxwell car off the road driven by the “Boys Newspaper” kids wearing Jughead Jones hats.
Off topic but brings back memories of when boys delivered newspapers. Nowadays, adults in pick up trucks and vans, adults not always born in this country, deliver newspapers.
This great Capra movie is a staple on our household. Mr. C4E and I will view it from time to time, just to remind us truth overcomes corruption.
