Parts of Britain woke up to a blanket of snow this morning with up to five inches falling in some regions after temperatures plummeted to -11C overnight - and forecasters warn of more snow tonight.

Areas including High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, London, Kent, Surrey, Yorkshire, Cumbria and Northumberland all awoke to a coating of snow, while much of the country saw a heavy frost.

The Met Office said up to five inches of snow was recorded in parts of Cumbria, the Pennines and on the Scottish borders while two inches fell in communities across west Yorkshire, including in the town of Bingley.

Photographs from the Yorkshire market town show revellers messing about in heavy snowfall after leaving bars and nightclubs in the early hours.

About ten years ago some Brit weatherman said the children would not know what snow was by now, what with all the global warming going on.

So when do the glaciers grind the abbey into gravel? Or is that the surprise series finale?

It was Dr. Viner:

It turns out that Dr. Viner of the East Anglia Climate Research Unit was flat-out wrong when he told the Independent in early 2000 that within a few years snow would be rare. In fact, snow has been abundant during every year but one since then.”

Why are all the women walking around in the snow with bare legs? Are they not allowed to wear pants or skirts or something?

"... The fireside for the Cricket, The wheatsack for the Mouse, When trembling night-winds whistle And moan
all round the house; The frosty ways like iron, The branches plumed with snow- Alas! in Winter, dead, and dark,
Where can poor Robin go? Robin, Robin Redbreast, O Robin dear! And a crumb of bread for Robin, His little
heart to cheer."

I hope someone filmed the last snowfalls so that children nowadays can see what snow looked like.

“”Why are all the women walking around in the snow with bare legs?””

Ending a night of nightclubbing, I guess. Nothing wrong with that! Only if the slimy muslims are out in force to protest the way they dress....Maybe the snow will keep them inside away from normal, civilized people.

If they're not used to snow, they may not know any better.

I'm being kind and generous here.....
