Among the top 10 cable networks in terms of prime-time viewers, only Fox News Channel, HGTV and Discovery Channel are on track to finish 2015 on an upswing.
Among the top channels taking big hits this year are TNT, off 16% in viewers, and History, which is experiencing a decline of 20%. Even AMC, home of "The Walking Dead" and the last season of "Mad Men," is down 2%.
Not every news channel got a boost from politics. Al Jazeera America finished 99th in prime-time rankings with an average of just 28,000 viewers.

I remember when the History Channel had actual history on it. That really dates me.
HGTV got better ratings because I spent time in the hospital. My wife and I watch it almost exclusively when we have to be in hospital.
I watch very little Fox News anymore.
They are another mouthpiece of The Cheap Labor Express like the Wall Street Journal.
I’m not sure I agree that FOX is getting new viewers .. I suspect they are just reclaiming some who were put off by the giant leap to the LEFT.
I know I was. And, I still do not view FOX very much. I prefer FOX&FRIENDS to any of it .. but now Elizabeth is leaving the weekday program .. and I have no idea who will replace her. If it happens to be another LEFTIST BIMBO .. (like they did to the WEEKEND show), I will not be watching anymore.
And .. FOX’s leftward leaning is still in full force where Jeb and Rubio are concerned. They do interviews with Trump and Cruz, but the interviews are stupid .. because the questions are stupid. Don’t watch those either .. can’t be bothered. I get things from Cruz that I know are what he believes .. and not what the LEFT has manufactured.
Fox News is off my list. They are pushing for Rubio.
Gave up FNC for Fox Business & HGTV.
I confess I was seduced by “Naked and Afraid.”
Or the National Geographic, geography
Or the Science Channel, science.
Or the Sci Fi channels actual Science Fiction.
Now it's wall to wall fighting of one kind or another, Reality shows for the loser audience.
Or who will be the next new model.
And assorted games, junk and perverts for the mind, or whatever is left of it in the the 27-year old children.

The night they had Whoraldo on their talking to his daughter that was suppose to be in Paris, I swore no more Fox ever.
That was the biggest con job since the Al Capone vault.

That was pathetic, but more Whorealdo than Fox. A few weeks before while on The Five, Eric Bolling accused Whorealdo of a pattern of using histrionics and melodrama. Whorealdo went ballistic and threatened to punch Bolling out. It was one of the best Fives evar!

They’re not getting the ratings from me. I turned off FOX when they hired Juan and HGTV is waaaay to gay.
Drew and Jonathan Scott of the “Property Brothers” are HGTV’s big stars.
It would be nowhere without them.
