Don't be surprised if NFL moving trucks show up in Oakland and San Diego next year.
According to Texans owner Bob McNair, sending those two teams to Los Angeles is slowly starting to turn into the NFL's most likely relocation scenario.
All 32 NFL owners are set to meet in Houston on Jan. 12-13 with one big goal: Figure out who's moving to L.A.
To make the move to Los Angeles, a team needs to get approval from 24 of the league's 32 owners, and thanks to a last ditch effort by the city of St. Louis, McNair doesn't see the Rams getting approved.
"St. Louis, they have come up with a proposal that is getting pretty close, in my opinion, to being an attractive proposal, and if they do come up with an attractive proposal, then in my view, my personal opinion, I don't think the Rams will receive the approval to relocate," McNair told the Houston Chronicle this week.
If the Rams don't get approved for L.A., that opens the door for the Chargers and Raiders.
"That would mean then you'd have two teams, San Diego and Oakland, that would be going into Carson, [California]," McNair said. "They have a partnership to build a stadium."

Los Angeles doesn’t need the NFL. We already have two excellent football teams—teh Occidental College Tigers and the USC Trojans.
Here here.
They need to stay out of my hometown, Carson Ca.
I don’t think LA will support one football team let alone two of them. They do realize that Mexicans like soccer not feetball.
Correct me if I am wrong, but hasn’t LA tried a couple of pro football teams before and it didn’t work out? Yeah, I thought so.
Fact is, the Chargers were originally an LA team and the Raiders spent a few years there, as well.
The Raiders should move to Portland, Oregon.
Don’t forget the Rams.
According to wikipedia, the name “Chargers” was picked by the original owner because he liked the rallying cry “charge!” at Southern Cal games.
But the lightning bolt logo makes you think of an electric charge.
I saw a cover from a 1963 program of a Pats-Charger game in Boston, and it had a picture of a bunch of horses to represent the Chargers, as in “charger” being a knight’s horse.
I am still so far behind in football goings on. I still call the Rams LA, the Colts Baltimore. I am so “with it”! LOL
They do if a Mexican team is playing the US.
Yes, the had the Chargers in 1960.
According to 1090 Sports radio in San Diego on 12/15/15, the Charger are moving to Los Angeles.
People from other cities now living in Los Angeles will go to a local NFL game in Los Angeles to root for the visiting team.
People in San Diego will grieve like the Brown’s fans and hope the team in Los Angeles picks a new name.
NFL in Los Angeles in not attractive. That is why Roman Gabriel’s Rams left and why the Raiders were here temporarily.
Los Angeles is a baseball city just like St. Louis.
The Chargers have always had the lightning bolt;ergo, they’re called the Bolts. I guess in their early days that name had not been firmly attached.
...because LAL is better than LOL or SOL(Same Old Lions...coined after decades of futility, courtesy of the Ford family)
...move'em or flush'em.
How long have they had this rule that you need approval by 2/3 of the owners to move your team?
New stadium? Because the Coliseum is way too hot for the current generation of football fans.
Go Raiders!
