Donald Trump Goes Nuclear: Let's Face It, Ted Cruz 'Is a Bit of a Maniac'
PJ Media ^ | 12-13-2015 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 12/13/2015 7:33:18 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

In what's more evidence that Donald Trump is becoming completely unhinged, he is now stooping so low as to label Tea Party favorite Ted Cruz "a bit of a maniac":

"I don’t think he’s qualified to be president… I don’t think he has the right temperament. I don’t think he’s got the right judgment… You look at the way he’s dealt with the Senate, where he goes in there like a — you know, frankly like a little bit of a maniac. You’re never going to get things done that way."

He added:

"Look, I built a phenomenal business. I’m worth many, many billions of dollars. I have some of the greatest assets anywhere in the world. You can’t walk into the Senate, and scream, and call people liars, and not be able to cajole and get along with people. He’ll never get anything done. And that’s the problem with Ted."

It's rather fascinating that this is coming from the most bombastic and maniacal presidential candidate in history. Almost every single one of his proposals are downright outlandish, and he calls everyone who dares disagree with him "a loser" and worse. See how he smeared Dr. Ben Carson by calling him "pathological."

What's more, Trump's latest jabs at Cruz prove that he has no idea what real conservatives want. Cruz promised them to stand up for their values in Washington D.C., even if the establishment would hate him for it. That's exactly what he's done, and it's one of the main reasons that he's now so popular among Evangelicals, very conservative voters, and those who identify themselves with the Party.

If I was Cruz, I'd politely ask The Donald to attack me even more. After all, this will only end up helping, rather than hurting him.

Seems like Trump is adapting the MSM characterization of Cruz.

Don’t think it’ll work, because a) Cruz has been very visibly Trumps only ally among the candidates, and b) clearly not a maniac.

Big mistake.

Ruh roh. Cruz is far and away this conservative’s favorite candidate, but I was willing to support Trump for not pandering to the GOPe and dancing to their tune. He goes after Cruz, he’s losing one of his main points of appeal to me.

I have major concerns that the leadership would not work with Cruz. They hate his guts to be frank. He is usually right but calling Mitch McConnell a liar on TV (which he is) does not for cooperation make. Sometimes you can be right but not make much headway.

Trump said “little bit of a maniac”. He’ll spin that as a positive thing if it comes back to bite him, or if he decides to make peace with Cruz.

“Trump implosion.”

Did you, by the way, say “Cruz implosion” when Cruz criticized Trump’s judgment the other day? Just asking.

So Cruz says Trump doesnt have the temperment to be the nominee and that’s ok, but Trump says Cruz doesn’t the temperment and somehow that’s bad. As has been discussed exhaustively on here, Cruz has about 3 friends in the Senate and has never achieved anything of any consequence, so Trump has a point.

Yep< I’m with you. Cruz for me. At this point I would still vote for Trump if he were the nominee, but it would be more of a vote against Hillary than a vote for Donald.

“Big mistake.”

Cruz first questioned Trump’s judgment a few days ago. Was that a big mistake on the part of Cruz, and if not, why not?
