For over a century, progressive social engineers dreamed of ridding society of those deemed useless or inferior. The eugenics movement, whose most effective proponent was Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, wanted to prevent births of undesirables, by which Sanger (and others, like Woodrow Wilson) meant blacks, among others.

And to eliminate political opposition.
Wow, very self-sacrificing of them! Unless, of course, they're so dumb they haven't noticed it's them, which is certainly quite possible. Liberals aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer.
The founding principles of Progressivism is that the human race can “progress” to a higher state of consciousness where we all willingly live together, sharing all property and gladly doing the labor necessary for the benefit of all.
The dark truth of that is that it acknowledges that some are unable to “progress” to this level and they need to be removed from society because they poison the well of progress. Sanger was a real Progressive just as a “Radical” Muslim is a true believer in Islam.
I wonder if my old biology professor from 1976 is still around?
He wasn’t very happy when I responded to an essay question that his support for abortion would lead to euthanasia and other people deciding when it was time for you to die.
Perhaps is was my closing line:
“In walks Hitler and the master race.”
It cost me a letter grade in that class...but, I retire next month....so, it couldn’t have hurt me too bad.
I usually get some negative feedback when I post this point. But it is a known thing that if you have to go to the hospital in Britain you make sure you have someone who will speak loudly for you in case they want to take you to a back room.
Yes, it is going on right now.
Why don’t they get rid of everybody who is in the democratic party...talk about useless and inferior
[[For over a century, progressive social engineers dreamed of ridding society of those deemed useless or inferior.]]
“useless or inferior” IE: progressive social engineers
Apparently they are cowards and refuse to commit suicide
and just for the record- Carson is on this list of progressives who believe in euthanasia- stating he thinks it would be fine to have a panel of doctors who would make decisions about the financial viability of keeping elderly alive basically
palliative care ...a interesting subject.
No fear...
We have “do not resuscitate” too...make sure it is explicit. But “On one ward, one-third of DNR orders were issued without consultation with the patient or their family, according to the NHS’s own records. At another hospital, junior doctors freely admitted that the forms were filled out by medical teams without the involvement of patients or relatives.”
Genocide. Human sacrifice.
My father rejected the DNR “option,” and got a lawyer to enforce it. A few days later a nurse said he was DNR. I got in her face; she called the doctor. He said, “but I put it there myself!”
Years ago I heard the same thing about Holland.
What makes this worse in the US is that because we don’t yet have socialized medicine, family members/heirs may pressure medical staff to kill the patient to avoid draining the prospective estate (which is probably less of an issue in economies where more of the healthcare costs are borne by the state itself). Different people pulling the plugs, but if the heirs here have power of attorney it is much less hassle.\
FWIW, anyone with a loved one in the hospital should have an advocate present as much as possible because some workers are quite happy to let someone sit in their own urine for hours. I know people who took leaves of absence from their jobs because this was going on; there is simply no reason to trust them to do the right thing. Could you imagine how the families of those elderly people getting roughed up & robbed by medical staff must feel when footage is shown on the news?
That is terrible; he’s lucky it was uncovered.
The anti-life crowd has been working slyly over the last 10 to 15 years to put these DNR things into place, mostly when we were not paying attention.
I was saddened when the anti-life gang was comfortable enough to even raise the assisted suicide/euthanasia debates in the public sphere; enough people had been de-sensitized to it, and they weren’t run out of town. Scary times!
We do have creeping managed care which has as its intention to eventually work its way into socialized medicine.
Vladimir Lenin said the key to socialism is medicine.
Managed care probably is the best way to get a population to support murdering their elderly; when people think of their individual savings in terms of taxes, they’ll probably make their deals with the Devil and pocket the 30 pieces of silver...
