There Are More Manhattan Apartments for Rent Over $15,000 Than Below $2,000

There's never been a better time to rent in Manhattan — if you want to pay the purchase price of a new car to your landlord every month.

An analysis of exclusive listings on the site On-Line Residential* conducted by The Real Deal found that there are more rentals priced at $15,000 a month and above than $2,000 a month and below. But before you start calculating how much it would cost to commute from Binghamton, there was one bit of hope for bargain hunters in the real-estate magazine's report: The Upper East Side has a surprisingly large number of affordable apartments — more renting at $2,000 or less than all of the neighborhoods south of Central Park combined. Just don't expect any of those apartments to be within a 15-minute walk of a functioning subway stop.

0bammy says they have to import a bunch of illegals, bums and drug dealers. Otherwise they’re racist.

Maybe, just maybe, rent control was done away with and cosmetic construction regulations were lifted....

It’s all the fault of Giuliani, Lindsay, and LaGuardia.

Some years ago, I read about a Manhattan “apartment” that had been fashioned from a walk-in closet. $1200 a month. The tenant said something like, yes,the apartment is cramped, but it's in Manhattan. Sorry, guys, but paying $1200 a month for a closet just because it's in a prestigious location makes no sense to me.

I think that “closet” is now going for $2,400/ month!

Functioning subway stops cost more.

Probably. I’m glad there are people who have so much money to throw around on things that make no sense.

I’m so glad I moved the hell out of that city and I grew up there. My cousin was there a few weeks ago, he said the 1970s are back, homeless all over the place, crime is up, the place is filthy. No surprise, the morons there want to elect a cop hating commie punk as Mayor, be my guest. I read recently he gave the cops a 1% raise while the commie led city council is getting a 71% raise, that’s right, a SEVENTY ONE percent raise! This is the same city council that celebrated communist spy Ethel Rosenberg as a hero. Cops, fireman, vets as heroes? Oh forget them! Let’s honor the spy instead. Don’t believe me? Here you go........

Non-functioning subway stops are “quaint” and add “charm”.

New York. San Fransisco. I have no sympathy for people who choose to live in these sewers. Los Angeles is pretty expensive too, but not quite like those two crapholes. It’s just a slightly cheaper sewer to live in.

What is a non-functioning subway stop? I’ve never heard of that.

To be relevant and fair and to show that Mizzou doesn’t condone white privilege or educational privilege or any other form of privilege, they neet to replace the disgraced president with a random member of a street Negro gang in St Louis. The similarly disgraced whit and privileged chancellor should then be replaced by a random MS13 member.
