They are well loved for their immaculate fluffy coats and unique personalities but new research suggests cats do have a much darker side.
A study carried out between the University of Edinburgh and Bronx Zoo compared our beloved domestic cat with its wilder relatives.
Compared with the snow leopard, the Scottish wildcat and the African lion, researchers found these larger predators shared similar characteristics of aggression and neurotic behaviour to domestic cats.

A little clawed needy monster that can’t get the hell out of the way when I walk. If you touch her wrong, she bites and then comes back 15 minutes later like nothing is wrong. All she wants are treats. An eating, crapping machine that is too damned nosy.
I’m gonna accidentally let her outside one day and let Mr. Coyote get acquainted with her. It will be a terrible tragedy over which I will lament greatly to my son and wife.
Oh. The reason he (son) flew it down here? His fiancé is “allergic” to it. Later it came out that cat was mad about the same things I am now.

Cats are good exterminators...Roaches are non existent in the house.
One cannot breed out instinct.
And an instinct that is necessary to feed oneself is not a neurosis. Sounds like the vegans might be trying to classify human behavior with respect to animal slaughter/consumption as “neurosis” by extension here.
I told them to stop it now, no dog or cat is a grand anything to me. There are just animals, nothing more.
Of course they love seeing me mad. I want no animal in my house.
We are the most dangerous predator.
Even dog breeds classified as “toy” these days were bred for hunting and killing rodents.

I’m convinced that none of the “researchers” has had a cat, as they seem to know very little about cats in a good domestic setting. Just look at the “subject” cats!

Pacing, pacing, pacing not unlike the parrots in cages that pull out all their feathers and repeatedly bob.
I have the sweetest cat in the world. He is outside 100% of the time in the summer and I have no idea where he goes. he comes home to eat. When he does he sits in my lap and purrs like crazy. Then he’s out and about.
Winter or storms he stays in (for snow, too) otherwise he’s gone. Snow Leopards are #1.
