Protesters flip off NYPD days after cop slay

By Amanda Lozada

Just four days after the on-duty murder of a hero NYPD street cop, a rally in Washington Square Park against “police terror” devolved Saturday into a raucous, law-enforcement gripe-fest. Protesters held signs reading “Rise Up! Stop Police Terror!” and “Murder with a badge is still murder.”

A cop was just murdered there a few days ago, are they protesting that? Of course not! They are protesting "police terror"! Just what "police terror" are they protesting? Please give me one single solitary example. That fat guy Eric Garner died from a heart attack when he was arrested, that was a year and a half ago, so what "police terror" are they protesting? And I'm glad to say, I never paid to see a Quentin Tarantino movie.

New York City is filled with pathological malcontents. If there was nothing wrong in the world they’d go out and fabricate a crisis simply to justify their pathetic existence.

The phrase “Rise up” means “create terror” in and of itself.

Look at the sign behind this idiot.....Nicholas Heyward, killed 1994, TWENTY ONE YEARS AGO! Are they for real? And I remember that case, that was a kid who had a toy gun and came running down the stairs at a housing project and pointed it at a cop. This is 21 years ago though, and they are digging it up solely to flame race relation. This Tarantino is an absolute low life especially considering HIS movies promote the hell out of gun violence.

I think they should have someone politely ask the protesters their names and when the protesters demand to know why they should be told it’s so the police know who not to offend by showing with assistance.

I think it’s time for a few days (weeks) of “blue flu”.

There is rampant overt contempt for police in that town. I wouldn’t want to be a cop in that city. I was over in the nicer section of Brooklyn a couple months ago and the police doing foot patrols were working in groups of 4+. The police have armored guard shacks all around the local precinct. I can’t imagine what it is like over in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

I know this isn’t necessarily the BLM movement, but didn’t Obama just say that “Black Lives Matter” movement wasn’t anti-police?

Tarantino is just into this so that he can continue to make racist movies.

That’s 16 years ago!! Of course stuff like that is going to happen, but these idiots are going around protesting like it’s happening all the time when it is not, and ALL of these cases when they do happen are not based on racism but on police error or bad training. The Diallo case occurred because the cops were not properly trained and were paranoid about being shot, so when one of them yelled “gun” they all went into a panic. But now today these idiots are constantly constantly constantly taking to the streets in NYC protesting this “police terror” when blacks are being slaughtered left and right by other blacks every single day, not to mention 4 cops this year being killed. NONE of them protest that. No, all they care about is flaming race relations and making cops out to be the enemy which leads to what? Blacks fighting back anytime a cop needs to make an arrest, but what does Quentin Tarantino care, he gets to go back to his multi-million dollar condo with guards while some cop has to deal with gangstas trying to kill him

That’s what it is I bet, he’s trying to get license to use the “N” word a million times in his movies not to mention just about every movie he makes has gun violence in it.

The cops in New York City dish out plenty of terror and have for years. There are no good guys or bad guys in this story.

The tax paying citizen is stuck between out-of-control cops on one side and criminals and communists on the other.

Everything and everybody in New York sucks. Not feeling sorry for city or citizens that would vote a communist as mayor

Those cops mostly from Long Island ,are there for one thing, the pension.

They survive 20 years they are set for life

Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, and its permanent set of editors lean a certain way in terms of preference of sources cited, belying their claims of presenting a “neutral point of view”.

This might be a little more balanced in terms of viewpoint.

“Civil War” is a broader term than the term “Social War.” The coming war will be based upon, race and class. The latter two are social factors. The American Revolution and Civil War were in essence Political in nature. The French Revolution and coming war were and shall be based upon race and social class.

There are bad cops, and they often are not held accountable until something really bad happens. That said, by far the vast majority of police officers are good. There is no systemic police terror here. Compare and contract to most Third World nations where the cops are just a state funded criminal enterprise.

These idiots are, well, clueless idiots.

if there wasn't systemic PROTECTION of skinheaded badge heavy murderous thugs, the problem wouldn't exist.

The first time some pyscho rookie beat up a prisoner, he had done 20 years for a felony under color of law, the rest of the department would either take it as a lesson learned, or quit.

It's a natural pathology that you find at work in police states. This is exactly what New York City has become -- a haven of whining malcontents who alternately complain that: (1) the police aren't doing enough to stem the tide of violence, drugs, etc.; and (2) the police are heavy-handed thugs.

That's why almost any issue in New York City is a lose-lose proposition for any public official to deal with.
