I liked ALL the spin-offs except Deep Space Nine. I liked the shape-shifter Odo but that's about it.
It never did make it into reruns. Trekkies have spoken.

I'm STILL watching NEXT GENERATION.

And who could forget the memorable: “...revenge is a dish that is best served cold... it is very cold in space...”

Wrong.... I enjoy STC greatly and have recommended it to many people. It is so true to the original series, that they even have ‘commercial cutaway cliffhangers’ that fade to black, then immediately restart with the heavy chord of music, just like the 60’s series. I give the lead actor heavy kudos for perfectly emulating Kirk, and for more-than-passingly looking like a 30-ish Shatner. It is truly amazing work.

I did not like the nuSpock. He plays the same style in every movie/appearance. zero emotion like the original spock. Too one dimentional.

Pine was a good successor, but the altered timeline was a copout.

Next Generation first season is completely unwatchable.

Sisko: “I’m not Picard.”

Yes I have and it IS AMAZING! Can’t get enough of STC.

Meanwhile on another note...

You probably remeber this, at leat the original which was around 12 minutes IIRC. I think you and I discussed this back in...oh...2003.

This is MUCH shorter but all I can find without digging out some old HD’s.

Trailer: GRAYSON.

That was actually answered in a ST: The Next Generation episode. Details escape me, but I’m sure some FReeper remembers it.

There was a race of aliens that seeded life throughout the galaxy. They were humanoid, so everybody else is humanoid too, even though they might have some other differences.

Two episodes in the Star Trek universe that theorized there was an original humanoid race, which then went on and seeded the Alpha Quadrant of the galaxy. (Old show: “Return to Tomorrow”, TNG: “The Chase”)

Why are they always humanoid?

"Grumpy alien" from "Men in Black" wasn't too humanoid...

Don’t worry, I’m sure it will get great reviews and make tons of money thus fueling another half decade of your whining.

Really, get over it already. There’s 40,000 hours of other Trek, if you don’t like the new stuff so much don’t bother with it. Think about how much time you waste complaining about the new stuff, probably enough to watch all of TNG again. Do that instead, everybody will be hapier.

They have never topped “The Trouble With Tribbles”. But of course “they’ll be no Tribble at all”.
