I'm watching this unfold and womdering why in the wide, wide, world of sports should conservatives settle for some sort of meh speaker? Or someone like McCarthy who will probably be even worse than the blubbering cheetoh. Here are some quick points:
-Dave Brat has a 100% CR rating. One of two reps in the house.
-he's in about the safest district imaginable.
-his district is less than a two hour drive from the beltway.
-he's the consummate outsider.
-Very high schadenfreude potential.
Yes my first choice.

How about Jim DeMint or Steve Forbes? They are always telling the GOP what they should have done.....Speaker does not have to come from Congress...They could choose Liz Cheney if they wanted to.
I know one person that wouldn’t mind...can’t remember who he is though...
Alright, that might be a stretch. He's definitely the most conserative politician east of the Delaware.

There are two 100% CR rated House members. Dave Brat is one of them. The other is a fella from AL whose name escapes me. Why have second choice when you can have first?
Realistically, he won’t get it. But you never negotiate from what you think you’ll have to settle for. Always ask for more than you think you’ll get.

I’d like Mark Levin as well, but I doubt someone outside Congress would be selected. So go with the most outside the mainstream member.
