I had high numbers as high as 210 then I stopped drinking several cans of Coca Cola a day and started cooking my own food instead eating the tv dinners. I drink a lot of water now instead of the soda and feel much better and lost weight. Take no thyroid or Type 2 meds. Doctors disappointed as I threw away the drugs and just changed the diet.

Taking vitamins D (10,00IU) and Iron have helped quite a bit. Magnesium and C and B12.

The only way I gain weight is eating bread and the only bread I can eat now is french bread freshly baked at the market because the other breads contains msg and high fructose and too many chemicals that leave me feeling ill.

When I do eat the tv dinners I pay for it with either headaches or sleepiness. Even diet drinks cause problems.

I have high blood cheddar for sure. But at least I look more like the second guy from the left than the one next to the Rove.

And, of course, your diet will work for everyone else, right?

And don’t get me started on the BMI scale, which identifies many professional basketball players as obese.

GOOD ON YA !!
Most medications mask the symptoms , but don't cure the issue
You have successfully taken PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for your own health ! God Bless !!

Everyone should get tested.
I was probably diabetic for 10 years before I went to a another doctor who was actually listening to me instead of just attributing all my complaints to getting older.
I had been giving my previous doctor diabetic symptoms for a good ten years.
The damage to my nervous system was already done by then.

Did I say that? Nope. I specifically said how I am controlling my own blood sugar. I am border line diabetic, and the diet change is working just fine. You have to figure out what is best for you. Our bodies are very good in giving us clues. We just need to pay attention.

Yes, everybody has different characteristics in handling food. My wife is same as your mother. Eats whatever is handy, and has normal blood sugar. On my mother’s side, there was lot of diabetes. So my tolerance for carbs and refined grains is bad.

It’s almost all Type 2 diabetes, which is caused by poor diet, obesity and a lack of exercise.

Liars!!

Diabetes is also genetically passed. My mother was diagnosed with Diabetes as a juvenile, after a bout with polio, and it killed her at 56 years old.
Diabetes is far more devastating than Aids, and how much do we spend for research on each.
Make me sick to think about it.

Yeah, right. I remember the “study” that said 33% of all Americans were homosexual. People are so gullible.

They keep lowering and lowering the numbers of what is considered diabetes, and they wonder why people out of nowhere suddenly are “sick”? lol

Its crazy.

Yes, and everything is a ‘disease.’ One of the biggest scams ever perpetrated on the American people.

“You have dry eyes. That’s a disease. That’s serious,” says the commercial. That’s not a disease, that’s a condition.

I have found, FWIW, that completely cooking (dried) beans renders them far more digestible (for me). Mexican style refried beans cause no problems at all. Chili or soup that hasn't been on the stove long enough ==> explosive results.

I soak beans overnight, on the theory that sugars are water soluble, and pouring out the rinse water will thus remove some of the indigestible sugar. Then I cook the beans for hours. That helps, but does not seem to completely eliminate the problem. Maybe I should try Beano?

I haven't gone to the trouble of cooking beans in years.
