It is a shame. FR used to be really impressive, with enough good minds and good debaters (and often people directly or closely involved with the story or the location to give it real context) that it was extremely educational. Now, it doesn’t have a tenth of that anymore... but it’s still worth hanging around, as long as you’re good at ignoring the posts that are a waste of bandwidth.

Oh, there was always name calling. I’ve been called so many names over the years and it hasn’t been in just the recent ones. Early on, I was invited by freepmail to join some sort of racist klan. Ha! Still, if you are a good person and love this country or conservative ideals, stick around. You don’t want a world without freedom. And freedom means EVERYONE gets to live their way.
