Kermit the Cannibal? Frogs Sometimes Eat Each Other

It's a frog-eat-frog world out there.

Sorry Piggy, Kermit doesn’t want pork that tastes good.
Kermit wants pork that swallows.

A new study? I’ve known for many years that frogs are opportunistic carnivores. Bullfrogs especially are fond of small rodents and passerine birds. Some frog species' tadpoles prey on junior tadpoles of their own kind too.

Went bullfrog hunting years ago. When we were dressing the frogs we found a small toad in one of the frog’s belly.

No one knows anything until a scientist gets a huge grant and releases paperwork that discovers something people knew since time immemorial.

I would think the hardest thing about being a cannibal is trying to get some very deep sleep, you know what I mean?

Sometimes, when I’m in that state of being asleep, but not quite asleep, I see a very vivid image of a frog eating another frog. It always gives me the quivers and I just cant stay in bed.

Ever seen Pacman Frogs? Also called Ornate Horned Frogs. They will eat each other. Makes them kinda hard to breed.

If you go fishing, especially in smaller bodies of water, often times you will see a bullfrog on the bank. Typically they will not allow you to get too close to them. If you are casting with a lure, you can place the lure just beyond the frog and slowly pull it past the frog. He will take the lure every time.
