The Ashley Madison leak, which has since revealed hacked information on everyone from marriage evangelist Josh Duggar, to family evangelist Sam Rader, to athletes, universities, and media companies had another interesting detail come to the surface yesterday. Gizmodo editor-in-chief Annalee Newitz published a long survey on the women of Ashley Madison that suggests very few of the female accounts on the site were held by real women.
Newitz discovered that the second-most-popular IP address in the leak looped back to a "home" IP address that likely originated at Ashley Madison. This corroborated her discovery that many of the female test accounts were made with an ashleymadison.com email address. She writes:
To the rest of us, its known simply as home, your local computer. Any account with that IP address was likely created on a home computer at Ashley Madison. Interestingly, 68,709 of the profiles created with that IP address were female, and the remaining 12,000 were either male or had nothing in the gender field. Thats a huge disparity. In a database of 85% men, youd expect any IP address to belong to about 85% men. So its remarkable to discover that about 82% of the accounts created from a home IP address are female. This strengthened the pattern Id already seen with the ashleymadison.com email addresses obviously fake accounts were overwhelmingly female, and numbered in the tens of thousands.
Newitz asserts that nearly all of the accounts attributed to women on the site were likely fake accounts run by employees of the company, and if there were really women cruising the site, they rarely ever opened their inboxes.
Overall, the picture is grim indeed. Out of 5.5 million female accounts, roughly zero percent had ever shown any kind of activity at all after the day they were created. The mens accounts tell a story of lively engagement with the site, with over 20 million men hopefully looking at their inboxes, and over 10 million of them initiating chats. The womens accounts show so little activity that they might as well not be there. In the assessment of the data, the only real confirmation available that women were indeed using the site is this:
Its worth noting that those 12,108 womens accounts may represent the only true number weve got for women who used the site. After all, paying to delete an account is a sure sign of activity, though of course its evidence of disengagement rather than the amorous engagement that Ashley Madison promised.
What does it all mean? The 31 million men on the site looking to have extramarital affairs weren't even getting close, while the women hardly existed in the first place.
I am a man, but I have to say: So many men are such suckers.
Perfect for Manti Te’o.
Poofter, the tragic drag queen
(Apologies to any fans of Puff the Magic Dragon)
Celebrating mental illness is where liberals have brought this country. Sick bastards.
There are online sites where you’re an avatar who makes social acquaintances with other avatars. While there are some women, you find many women are attracted to other women and some of the women are actually men pretending to be women so they can hang out with all the women attracted to other women since they are more plentiful than the women looking for men.
With most online dating services, you must start with the general premise that the person on the other end is a liar and work from there.
LOL
With the advancements in artificial intelligence, you can’t even assume are talking to a human being anymore.
Most of these sites are usually 90% male....noting but honey-traps to get cash from guys.
Like I said, suckers. Which is worsem that, or giving money to a “Nigerian prince?”
Or Going long on Dinar make you reech!
I know someone who is losing a fortune on that. But I don’t know him well.
As I understand it .... many of these persons are in positions of high places .... and these freaks in fantasy land make rules, laws and direct policies that control the lives of normal, God loving Americans
It's a damned good thing I don't work in a post office ....

I am sorry that I have not been very responsive to post comments lately. I have been somewhat under the weather since my doctors informed me that I have an acute case of Post Islamic Stress Trauma with Apologetic White House Fatigue (PIST-AWF). For those of you who do not know what that is; PIST-AWF is a newly defined disease that has been found to be widespread and highly contagious.
January, 2015 Doctors at the CDC released a statement disclosing a new disease that has already infected over half of the United States and is anticipated to continue its rapid spread. The disease itself affects the cells of a persons entire body then goes dormant. The disease ravages the body and leaves serious side effects. These side effects have been labeled as PIST-AWF.
Symptoms include:
* Severe pain of the scalp from pulling your own hair while viewing your president pander to Muslim terrorists.
* Uncontrollable heartburn at 8:00 PM during the OReilly factor.
* Loose bowels from swallowing the fact we elected Obama twice.
* Extreme pain and discomfort due to vomiting from seeing terrorists murdering innocent people nightly.
* Bleeding from the eyes. This is not Ebola. It is your eyes reacting to accidentally flipping to a channel that shows Al Sharpton as a legitimate news show host and presidential confidant.
Since the disease consumes the entire body, every infected person is then identified as the disease itself.
If you feel you have Post Islamic Stress Trauma with Apologetic War Fatigue, please notify your local election board and place your name on the list for a cure. It is expected, and sincerely hoped, that the cure will be available in November of 2016.
Amen
“Data Suggests That the Men of Ashley Madison Were Chatting With Fake Women”
Caitlyn Jenner was taking all of the calls.
rofl. Boy did that magazine that had him on the cover do a Photoshop job on this poor creature lol.
Yup, women are not interested in such things as these sites...as a general rule....IMO They hold them in contempt.
Men can, at times, be so effing stupid!
When AOL was big about a million years ago, lol, i and my friends were in our mid 20s.
We would type in staten island and female and send a message to as many females as we could :)
We dated left and right and had a ball.
Mostly crazy, but many pretty.
In the end, two married gals they met online. The rest through more traditional means.
I ended up with a gal I met at a Catholic singles club. She was the sweetest most innocent person I ever met. Talk about opposites attracting lol.
Internet is a different world today.
